Vassar Tops Mount Holyoke, Battles Against Trinity (CT)

Vivien Li wins two events for the Brewers

Poughkeepsie, NY – Competing for the first time in 2025, the Vassar College Women's Swimming and Diving team split a pair of decisions on Monday, defeating Mount Holyoke 178-105 and dropping a competitive meet with Trinity (CT) 173-105. Sophomore Vivien Li (Pittsburgh, PA) won a pair of events for the Brewers on the day.

Monday's split moves Vassar to 3-4 overall on the season in dual meet action.

For The Brewers

Li put together a strong meet for Vassar, taking the top spot in the 200-yard butterfly (2:10.70) and the 100-yard butterfly (59.77). Li also added a third-place finish for Vassar on Monday in the 200-yard backstroke (2:16.43).
Abigail McLaughlin (Denver, CO) also had a big day for the Brewers, winning the 50-yard freestyle (24.96) while adding a runner-up finish in both the 200-yard (2:00.85) and 100-yard freestyle (55.25) events.
Making her season debut for the Brewers on Monday, junior Addie Wiener (Maplewood, NJ) scored a victory in the 500-yard freestyle (5:35.52) and took the runner-up position in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:20.95).
Sophomore Anna Little (Irwin, PA) swam to a trio of runner-up finishes on Monday, earning second-place points in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.01), 200-yard breaststroke (2:28.09) and 200-yard individual medley (2:18.50).
First Year Eva D'Addario (Baltimore, MD) turned in a second-place showing for Vassar in the 500-yard freestyle (5:52.31).
Senior Maya Luongo (Katonah, NY) swam to a third-place finish on Monday in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.73).
Sophomore Lara Chebotarev (East Longmeadow, MA) touched on third for Vassar in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.52).
First Year Tia Spivey (Gate City, VA) scored third-place finishes for the Brewers on Monday in both the 200-yard freestyle (2:10.91) and 500-yard freestyle (5:52.44).
Both of Vassar's relay teams picked up runner-up finishes in the meet with the 200-yard medley team of Quinn Hoagland (Colts Neck, NJ), Little, Li and Luongo opening the day with a time of 1:54.05.
To close the meet, the team of McLaughlin, Hoagland, Wiener and Luongo touched out in a time of 3:44.72 in the 400-yard freestyle event.
