Women's Track and Field Posts Strong Efforts at AARTFC Outdoor Championships

CORTLAND, NY - The Vassar College Women's Track and Field team opened the AARTFC Outdoor Championships on Wednesday afternoon on the campus of SUNY Cortland.

4x100 Relay

The relay of sophomore Jamie Eu, senior Ava Novak, sophomore Jahmilia Dennis and junior Traci Francis finished third in heat three and were ninth overall with a time of 49.07.

100 Meters (First Round)

Novak scored a 10th place overall finish and came in second in the first heat with a time of 12.53.

3000 Meter Steeplechase

First year Acadia Helfand crossed the finish line with a time of 12:00.43 for a 31st overall finish.

5000 Meters

Sophomore Anika Mueller-Hickler posted a personal-best time of 18:13.44 to earn a seventh place finish for the Brewers.

UP NEXT

Vassar will return to action tomorrow morning for day two of the AARTFC Outdoor Championships with events beginning at 10:00 a.m.
