2022 All-Liberty League Honorable Mention - 100-meter

FRANCIS' CAREER HISTORY

2022: At the Ramapo Invitational... Placed ninth in the 100-meter (13.13) and was fourth in the 4x100 relay (52.22)... Took Fourth in the 100-meter at the Vassar College Invitational (13.06)... At the Farley Invite... Placed fifth in the 100-meter (12.98) and third in the 4x100 relay (51.65)... Was second in the 100 at the RPI Capital District Classic (12.97)... Ran a person record 12.47 to place third in the Liberty League Championships 100-meter finals to earn All-Liberty League Honorable Mention... Helped break the program record 4x100 relay time with a 48.95 at the AARTFC Championships.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Four-year letterwinner in indoor and outdoor track at South Portland High School... Also a three-year letterwinner in soccer... Named indoor and outdoor track captain as a senior... Team MVP during 2019-20 indoor season and 2021 outdoor season... Coaches award in outdoor track in 2018 and 2019... Harvie Memorial Scholarship in 2021... All-conference third team for 55-meter dash in 2019-20... All-conference third team for 200-meter in 2019-20... 2021 All-academic team for outdoor track... Placed second in the 55-meter with a personal record of 7.42... Other personal records of 26.88 in the indoor 200-meter and 12.74 in the outdoor 100-meter... Class president from freshman to senior year... National Honors Society as a junior and senior... George Eastman Young Leaders Award.

PERSONAL: Decided on Vassar because "Vassar has amazing opportunities to excel in my academics, and I wanted to be in an environment where I was being pushed both academically and athletically. I am passionate about both medicine and social justice and found that Vassar has the perfect major for me that mixes the two."
