Troy, NY - The Liberty League announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon as Vassar College Women's Track and Field first year Ruthie Weiss was named the league's Rookie of the Week

Weiss registered a third place finish with a new top-60 national mark of 10.85 meters in the triple jump at the CGA Invite on Saturday afternoon. The first year also earned a 10th place mark with a PR of 12.89 in the 100 meters.

Following the indoor season, Weiss is the indoor school record holder in the high jump at 1.55 meters and also set the outdoor school record mark in the long jump at 1.58 meters.

Vassar returns to action this weekend at the two-day RPI Under the Lights Invite beginning on Friday.
