HARTFORD, CT - The Vassar College Women's Track and Field team scored a sixth place finish at the Trinity Invitational on Saturday afternoon as sophomore Jahmilia Dennis was victorious in the triple jump and finished third in the 100 meter hurdles.

100 Meter Hurdles

• Dennis qualified for the finals with a third place finish in the first round with a time of 15.56 and finished third in the finals with a time of 15.29.
• Sophomore Freja Niklasson tallied a 13th place finish in a time of 17.98 and first year Abigail Sasson posted a personal-best time of 18.48.

100 Meters

• Junior Traci Francis qualified for the finals with a sixth place finish with a time of 12.96 and scored a fifth place finish in the finals in 12.97.
• Sophomore Jamie Eu recorded a 18th place finish in 13.43 while junior Lily Falkowski crossed the finish line in 14.01.

1500 Meters

• First year Ava Whitney earned a third place finish with a personal-best time of 4:49.83 followed by junior Sophia Henderson in fourth place with a time of 4:55.94.
• Senior Amaavi Miriyagalla crossed the finish line in 11th place with a new personal-best of 5:02.22.

400 Meters

• Sophomore Margaret McLaughlin registered a 13th place finish with a time of 1:05.94.

800 Meters

• First year Norah Reade recorded a personal-best time of 2:20.76 for a fourth place finish while Whitney was 13th with a time of 2:26.17.
• Sophomore Isabelle Borgstedt crossed the finish line in a career-best time of 2:35.72 along with sophomore Emma Sandrew securing a personal-best time of 2:57.49.

400 Meter Hurdles

• Niklasson was eighth overall in 1:10.63 followed by first year Maya Carey tallying a 14th place finish with a personal-best mark of 1:13.28.

200 Meters

• Falkowski recorded a time of 29.52 for a top-50 finish.

4x400 Relay

• The relay of Carey, Henderson, Reade and senior Ava Novak registered a time of 4:11.82 for a third place finish.

Javelin Throw

• Sophomore Abbe Colgan registered a top mark of 20.28 meters while senior Nora Jensen recorded a toss of 18.85 meters.

Shot Put

• Sophomore Kolby Davis finished in 15th place with a personal-best throw of 8.95 meters along with junior Faye Stevens recording a personal-best toss of 8.01 meters.
• Sophomore Ava Gurley finished with a mark of 7.42 meters.

Long Jump

• Novak scored a third place finish with a leap of 5.07 meters followed by sophomore Sydney Passley-Harris recording a sixth place finish with a mark of 4.90 meters.
• Senior Heather Kwafo was seventh overall with a jump of 4.77 meters.

Hammer Throw

• Junior Soleil Yuong posted a personal-best mark of 25.89 meters for a top-20 finish while sophomore Sydney Petrie recorded a personal-best toss at 23.00 meters.

Triple Jump

• Dennis was victorious once again in the triple jump with a leap of 11.52 meters, defeating the next closest finisher by over 0.6 meters.

High Jump

• First year Jillian Benfante recorded a final height of 1.32 meters.

Discus Throw

• Petrie earned a fourth place finish with a throw of 35.91 meters while Yuong recorded a personal-best mark of 32.86 meters.
• Colgan closed the day with an 11th place finish with a toss of 27.80 meters.
