UTICA, NY - The Vassar College Women's Track and Field team scored a fourth place finish out of 18 teams at the Fast Trax Invite on Saturday in its second straight meet at Utica University.

5000 Meters

• Sophomore Lily Shimpach opened the day with a second place finish with a time of 20:30.01 in the 5000 meters.

60 Meter Hurdles

• Senior Nora Jensen and junior Faye Stevens both earned spots in the finals as Jensen finished fifth in 9.67 in the prelims followed by Stevens in eighth with a time of 10.00.
• Sophomore Freja Niklasson finished in 11th in prelims with a time of 10.13 along with first year Abigail Sasson scoring a 23rd place finish in 10.87.
• In the finals, Jensen tallied a third place finish with a time of 9.64 while Stevens was seventh in 10.10.

60 Meters Open

• Junior Lily Falkowski earned a strong eighth place finish while crossing the finish line in 8.87.

60 Meters Invite

• Senior Ava Novak and junior Traci Francis earned spots in the finals as Novak scored a second place finish in 8.14 and Francis was fifth overall with a time of 8.27.
• Sophomore Jahmilia Dennis was 13th in prelims with a time of 8.48 while Jensen was 20th in 8.60.
• In the finals, Novak crossed the finish line in third in 8.20 followed by Francis in fourth in 8.22.

Mile

• First year Haley Schoenegge was the top Division III finisher as she finished second overall in an AARTFC time of 5:15.48. Sophomore Anika Mueller-Hickler was 14th with a time of 5:30.19.

400 Meters

• Stevens was eighth overall in the 400 meters with a time of 1:05.70 while sophomore Maddie Busam crossed the finish line in 10th place in 1:05.94.

600 Meters

• First year Norah Reade earned a strong fourth place finish with a time of 1:43.66 followed by junior Sophia Henderson in 12th in 1:47.28 and first year Maya Carey in 13th with a time of 1:48.76.

800 Meters

• Schoenegge scored a seventh place finish with a time of 2:27.36 while senior Jordan Norman was 12th in 2:28.85 and Mueller-Hickler crossed in 18th place with a time of 2:36.15.

200 Meters

• Dennis finished 17th overall with a time of 28.71 along with sophomore Sydney Passley-Harris recorded a time of 29.10 for a 23rd place finish.

3000 Meters

• Reade led the way with a fourth place finish with a time of 10:49.74 while first year Addie Nyhan was 14th in 11:29.09 and Norman was 17th overall in 11:46.31.

Long Jump

• Vassar scored three finishers in the top five as Novak was second with a mark of 5.32 meters, Stevens was fourth at 5.11 meters and Dennis was fifth with a distance of 5.01 meters.

Weight Throw

• Junior Soleil Yuong posted a strong throw of 7.12 meters for a top-35 finish.

Shot Put

• Yuong scored a 17th place finish with a mark of 8.80 meters.

High Jump

• Sasson finished 10th overall with a mark of 1.47 meters while first year Jillian Benfante and senior Heather Kwafo hit the 1.30 meters mark.
