Dennis Repeats as Triple Jump Champion; Women's Track and Field Scores Fourth Place Finish at Liberty League Championships

Dennis victorious in the triple jump, Schoenegge wins 3000-meters

CANTON, NY - Led by sophomore Jahmilia Dennis' repeat first place performance in the triple jump and first year Haley Schoenegge winning the 3000-meters, the Vassar College Women's Track and Field team earned a fourth place finish at the 2024 Liberty League Indoor Track and Field Championships at St. Lawrence on Saturday.

60-Meter Hurdles
  • Dennis opened the day in the 60-meter hurdles finals with a fifth place finish with an AARTFC time of 9.29 followed by senior Nora Jensen finishing seventh in 9.77.
60-Meters
  • Senior Ava Novak scored a fourth place finish in the 60-meter finals with an AARTFC mark of 8.00 while junior Traci Francis crossed the finish line in sixth place with a time of 8.14.
800-Meters
  • First year Norah Reade earned a 10th place finish with a time of 2:24.80 for the Brewers followed by senior Jordan Norman in 12th place in 2:25.83.
200-Meters
  • Novak tallied another top-five finish on the day as the senior finished fifth with an AARTFC time of 26.29 and Jensen finished in 18th place in 28.34.
3000-Meters
  • Schoenegge continued her incredible weekend as the first year earned the first place finish with an AARTFC time of 10.00.61.
  • Sophomore Anika Mueller-Hickler also posted an AARTFC time of 10:37.23 to finish 12th overall.
4x400 Relay
  • The relay of sophomore Maddie Busam, Norman, junior Faye Stevens and Novak crossed the finish line in sixth place with a time of 4:13.19.
High Jump Triple Jump
  • Dennis earned her second straight triple jump conference title as the sophomore posted a career-best and school record mark of 11.79 meters to take home the title.
