NEW YORK, NY - The Vassar College Men's Fencing team made the trek down to the Paulson Center in New York City as the Brewers squared off with NYU and Columbia at the George Kolombatovich Historical Meet on Wednesday evening.

Round One - NYU 16 VC 11

• Epee - NYU 5 VC 4
  • Junior Eli Weise scored two victories followed by sophomore Brian Li and junior Sean Fisher each picking up a win.
• Foil - VC 5 NYU 4
  • Senior Benjamin Lee and junior Brady Traugot each recorded two victories along with a win from sophomore Isaiah Kim to earn a foil squad victory over the Violets.
• Sabre - NYU 7 VC 2
  • Sophomore Oliver Berger earned two wins while juniors Noah Rudnet and Justin Lederer each battled in three bouts.

Round Two - COL 15 VC 12

• Epee - VC 5 COL 4
  • Weise and Li each scored two victories and Fisher added a victory to score an epee squad victory.
• Foil - COL 5 VC 4
  • Lee posted a perfect 3-0 mark for Vassar while Traugot earned a win and Kim battled in three bouts.
• Sabre - COL 6 VC 3
  • Berger tallied two victories along with Lederer adding a win.
  • Rudnet competed in one bout while first year Charlie Cohen battled in two bouts.
