CHESTNUT HILL, MA - The Vassar College Men's Fencing team traveled to Boston College for the first Northeast Fencing Conference meet of the season as the Brewers picked up two conference wins over Brown and Wagner on Sunday afternoon. Sophomore Federico La Rosa and senior Benjamin Lee both garnered NFC Foil Second Team All-Star honors following their strong performances.

ROUND ONE - MIT 19 VC 8

• Epee - MIT 7 VC 2
  • Sophomore Brian Li and junior Eli Weise each recorded a victory while sophomore Boxiong Du battled three times.
• Foil - MIT 8 VC 1
  • Federico La Rosa earned a win while junior Brady Traugot and Lee each fenced three times.
• Sabre - VC 5 MIT 4
  • Sophomore Oliver Berger put together an undefeated round along with junior Justin Lederer and sophomore Noah Rudnet each adding a victory.

ROUND FOUR - BC 19 VC 8

• Epee - BC 7 VC 2
  • Weise tallied both victories for epee while Li and Du each battled in three bouts.
• Foil - VC 6 BC 3
  • Lee posted an undefeated 3-0 mark while La Rosa added two wins and sophomore Isaiah Kim picked up a victory.
• Sabre - BC 9 VC 0
  • Berger, Lederer and Rudnet each competed in three bouts.

ROUND FIVE - BRAN 14 VC 13

• Epee - BRAN 6 VC 3
  • Li picked up two victories while Du earned a win.
  • Weise battled in three close bouts.
• Foil - VC 9 BRAN 0
  • La Rosa, Traugot and Lee all posted undefeated marks at 3-0.
• Sabre - BRAN 8 VC 1
  • Berger tallied the lone win while first year Charlie Cohen battled in three bouts.
  • Rudnet competed twice in round five and sophomore Fernando Panepinto Hattori fenced in one bout.

ROUND SIX - VC 14 BROWN 13

• Epee - VC 7 BROWN 2
  • Li and Weise both posted undefeated marks at 3-0 while Du earned a victory.
• Foil - BROWN 5 VC 4
  • La Rosa and Lee each recorded two victories while Traugot battled in three bouts.
• Sabre - BROWN 6 VC 3
  • Cohen, Panepinto Hattori and Berger each tallied a victory and Lederer fenced in one bout.

ROUND SEVEN - SHU 16 VC 11

• Epee - SHU 5 VC 4
  • Li and Weise each earned two victories while Du battled in three bouts.
• Foil - SHU 5 VC 4
  • Lee scored two victories while Traugot and Kim each recorded a victory.
• Sabre - SHU 6 VC 3
  • Berger finished the round with two victories and Lederer added a win.
  • Rudnet fenced in three bouts for Vassar.

ROUND EIGHT - VC 14 WAGNER 13

• Epee - WAGNER 7 VC 2
  • Weise earned two victories while Du and Li each battled in three bouts.
• Foil - VC 9 WAGNER 0
  • La Rosa, Kim and Traugout all posted perfect 3-0 marks.
• Sabre - WAGNER 6 VC 3
  • Berger scored two victories while Cohen added a win.
  • Rudnet battled in two bouts while Lederer fenced in one bout.
