POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - After leading the Vassar men's basketball team to a 2-0 weekend, head coach Ryan Mee was selected the HoopDirt.com Division III Coach of the Week presented by Just Play Solutions on Jan. 25. The Brewers handed No. 23 RPI their first conference loss of the season on Friday evening, and then Vassar defeated Bard the following day.

Vassar won 73-56 over RPI and used an 18-point first-half lead to earn the program's first win over a nationally-ranked opponent. The Brewers' defense held the Engineers to 2-of-13 shooting from three-point range (15.4 percent) and did not allow a single triple in the first half. Vassar crashed the boards as well, outrebounding RPI 38-28.

Then the Brewers downed the Raptors 53-52 the next day behind another solid defensive performance. Vassar kept Bard to 27.5 percent shooting from the field.

The Brewers sit at 12-4 and 8-2 in the Liberty League, and Vassar wraps up a seven-game road trip this weekend when they face St. Lawrence on Friday and then Clarkson on Saturday.
