Kansas City, MO - The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) announced its All-District teams on Tuesday afternoon as sophomore
Shea Fitzgerald was named an All-District III First Team selection. The All-District honors are voted on by NABC member coaches across NCAA Division III.
On the heels of being named a D3hoops.com First Team All-Region III selection earlier this afternoon, Fitzgerald earns another accolade following the 2024-25 campaign as the sophomore was named the Liberty League Player of the Year along with being an All-Liberty League First Team selection. Fitzgerald was a All-Liberty League Honorable Mention as a first year last season.
Fitzgerald finished the regular season ranked in the top-75 in the country in points per game and 25th nationally in free throw percentage. Fitzgerald now holds the third highest points per game average in a single season at Vassar and holds the second highest free throw percentage mark in a single season in program history.
Fitzgerald was named the Liberty League Player of the Year, the first since Zach Johnson in 2022, and an All-First Team Liberty League selection after leading the league in points per game with 19.7 and in free throw percentage at 88.0. Fitzgerald was an integral part of the team earning the #3 seed in the Liberty League Championship and winning 12 regular season conference games for the first time in school history. He also was named the Liberty League Performer of the Week three times this season.
