Vassar Men's Lacrosse Notes - Skidmore

POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (April 23, 2018) – The Brewers host Skidmore for their final game of the regular season. Vassar will face off against the Thoroughbreds beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Gordon Field.

Last Time Out: The Vassar men's lacrosse team trailed by just two at the half, but Union College was too much in the second half as they came away with the 11-6 victory over the Brewers on Saturday afternoon in league action. With the loss, the Brewers fell to 1-6 in league play and out of contention for the final conference playoff spot. James Thomas finished the game with three points (two goals, one assist) while Kyle Cherry added two scores. Cameron Erdman and Michael Killion both added scores and Nick Diamond dished out one assist. Matt Boyd and Erik Mikelinich split time in cage combining for eight saves on the day.
 
A Look At The Brewers (2-11, 1-6 Liberty League):
  • Matthew Lowery leads the league with 7.25 groundballs per game while ranking fifth with a .632 faceoff percentage.
  • Starting goalkeeper Matt Boyd has racked up 132 saves this season with a .534 save percentage.
  • Three Brewers have posted at least 20 points this season with Michael Mullen, Nick Diamond, and James Thomas all reaching the mark.
