A Look at the Brewers (15-6, 3-0 UVC):
- Vassar is coming off a huge weekend, beating two ranked opponents, #11 MIT, and #15 Juniata.
- The Brewers have proved to be steady this season, dropping only two matches to non-ranked opponents.
- Junior setter Zechariah Lee is thriving as of late, posting his first career triple-double Saturday against Juniata. Lee hit .643 with 10 kills, while adding 40 assists and 13 digs. He is now 12 shy of his 2,500 career assist.
- Matthew Knigge, a middle hitter, topped Matt Elgin's '13 record of 286 career assisted blocks. Only a junior, Knigge now leads with 294 assisted blocks.
- Senior Christian Lizana earned 17 kills this weekend, making him just six kills away from reaching 500 career kills.
- Quinn Rutledge, senior outside hitter, had an impressive weekend posting 14 digs, nine kills, two assisted blocks, and an ace over the two games.
- Sophomore outside hitter George Diehl's is currently totaling third on the team in both kills and blocks, averaging 2.09 kills and 0.67 blocks per set.
- Senior Trey Cimorelli earned a season-high 17 digs in the game against Juniata, totaling 29 over the two games. Cimorelli continues to lead the Brewers in the amount of digs per set with 2.83.
A Look at the Saints (12-3):
- The Saints are coming off a big weekend of their own, beating two top -10 opponents: No. 9 Eastern Mennonite and No. 5 NYU.
- Marymount is leading the Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC), with a 6-1 record in conference, dropping only to mutual opponent Juniata.
- The Saints are lead by junior opposite TJ Wiechecki, who puts down 3.78 kills/set. Wiechecki has taken nearly 100 more attempts than the next Saint.
- The squad relies on strong blocking, paced by middles Graham Clark, Tomasz Ksiazklewicz and Ben Steranka with 1.05, 1.03 and .96 blocks/set respectively.
- 1.05 blocks/set puts Clark at seventh in the nation. As a team, Marymount is ranked 4th in the country in blocks/set.
- The Saints offense is widespread, averaging 11.44 assists/set, good for 10th in the nation. The squad is lead by junior setter Erich Bratke with 9.62 assists/set.
- Marymount is a strong serving team, averaging 1.28 aces/set lead by Wiechecki.
