Steve Palecki notched a career-high 13 points, as Vassar lost to St. Lawrence University at the Athletics & Fitness Center on Saturday, 97-79. Palecki reached his new personal record on 5-of-6 shooting, as four Brewers registered double figures in the scoring column:
Jesse Browne and
Alex Seff totaled 18 points apiece, while
Mickey Adams tallied 11.
Tony Caletti added nine points and three assists off the bench for Vassar.
A Look At The Brewers (5-10):
- Two Brewers registered new career-highs over the weekend, as Hunter Gettings scored a career-best 16 points against Clarkson on Friday, and Palecki had the career-high 13 points against St. Lawrence on Saturday.
- The Brewers have shot 41 percent from the floor and 32 percent from three-point range, while opponents have shot 46 and 36 percent, respectively.
- Vassar has been aggressive on defense, forcing opponents into 13.7 turnovers for 12.5 points per game.
- The Brewers have also registered more steals per game, 6.9 swipes to 6.8.
- Three Brewers are averaging double-digit scoring in Alex Seff (14.7ppg), Jesse Browne (12.7ppg) and Mason Dyslin (11.9ppg).

- Browne has blocked the most shots of anyone on the team with six on the year. Palecki is close behind with five.
- Four Brewers have grabbed at least 10 steals: Owen Murray (19), Seff (18), Browne (17) and Gettings (12).
- Mattie Mrlik has been solid from the charity stripe, going 12-of-13 from the line for a 92 percent clip. The freshman has also registered nine steals, fourth most on the team.
- The Brewers hope to get back to the postseason after finishing last year 12-14 overall, including a trip to the Liberty League semifinals.
A Look At The Engineers (9-6):
- RPI looks to snap a two-game skid on Tuesday after falling 67-52 to Hobart College on Friday and 63-61 to RIT on Saturday.
- Through 15 games last season, the Engineers were 8-7 before finishing 12-13 overall and 6-10 in conference play.
- The Engineers have averaged 3.0 more points per game, 69.7 to 66.7.
- The Engineers have shot 43 percent from the floor and 34 percent from deep, while holding opponents to 42 and 33 percent, respectively.

Against RPI All-Time: The Brewers are 9-26 against the Engineers all-time, dating back to their first meeting in 1989. Vassar split last season with RPI, beating the Engineers 70-62 on Jan. 12, 2016.
