Last Time Out
The Brewers suffered a tough lost Wednesday against Williams College. The Brewers and Ephs scoring were even between the second and fourth quarters, but a slow start in the first is what really hurt the Brewers. The Ephs took a quick 5-0 lead before James Thomas scored the Brewers first goal late in the first quarter. Any time the Brewers got the score to within three, the Ephs answered right back with a goal of their own. However, the positive to take away from the game is that the Brewers played hard and fought until the last whistle. The intensity shown in the Williams game will surely carry over to their game this Saturday.

A Look at the No. 2 RIT Tigers (12-1, 5-0 Liberty)
Despite the their most recent 18-16 loss against Ithaca College, the Tigers have been very dominate in their 2016 campaign. They have six wins against top 20 teams and are looking to keep their undefeated record in the Liberty League. The Tigers are sporting a very strong roster this year, having key players on both ends of the field. They have a strong senior defensive unit led by Matt Hossack, last years SILA Iroquois Nationals Award for Division III's Most Outstanding Player. Leading the Tigers' attack are Kyle Strerzin, Ryan Lee and Chad Levick. Lee is having an outstanding season with 58 points on 43 goals and 15 assists.

Against RIT All-Time
Vassar is looking to end its two-game losing skid by getting a win this Saturday against No. 2 RIT. The Brewers are 0-4 all-time against the Tigers.

Liberty League Standings
Despite Wednesday's loss against Williams, Vassar remains fourth in the Liberty League Standings, ahead of Union College (7-6, 2-3), Skidmore College (5-9, 1-4), Bard College (4-8, 0-4) and Clarkson University (3-10, 1-4), and behind Rochester Institute of Technology (12-1, 5-0), St. Lawrence University (13-1, 4-1) and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (10-2, 4-1).

Milestones
This past Wednesday, James Thomas set a career-high in points with three goals and three assists. Thomas also picked up four ground balls during the game. Noah Parson continued his outstanding goal-scoring season, scoring four in the game. Parson is one goal away from tying the single-season goal record of 35 goals, which he set last year.

Man-Up Opportunities
The Brewers continue to be efficient on man-up opportunities. The Brewers went 3-for-4 this past Wednesday. The Brewers man-up unit is third in the Liberty League for goals per game and man-up scoring percentage.

New Voice In Net
Despite it being his first loss of the season, freshman goalie Matt Boyd had a career-high 16 saves. Boyd is currently at a 59.1 save percentage. Although he is only a freshman there is no argument that Boyd is the loudest player on the field. When he is on the field he demands his defense's attention and makes sure to communicate what is happening on the field.

Saves The Day!
Opponents haven't been easy on Vassar defenders, but the Brewers have responded accordingly and are ranked second in the conference with 13.23 saves per game. Goalkeeper Brandon Crecco has been a major reason for this feat, averaging 11.70 saves over 10 games. Matthew Boyd has been efficient in net as well, holding the third-highest saves percentage in the conference at 59.1.

DeStasio Does it All
Brandon DeStasio continues to show why he is one of the key players for the Brewers. This past Wednesday, DeStasio tallied two assists making his total 13 for the season. DeStasio not only gets assists, but also has 14 goals on the year, plays on the wing during face-offs and occasionally ends up on defense  to show off his inner d-middie.

Pressing Prez
Eric Prezioso has been solid on defense, averaging 1.23 caused turnovers per game, good for ninth most in the Liberty League. He has a team-high 16 forced turnovers as well as 19 ground balls on the season.

Vassar men's lacrosse will host Bard College for its last home game of the year (Wednesday, April 27 at 6 p.m.) before heading to Schenectady, NY for its final game of the regular season against Union College (Saturday, April 30 at 1 p.m.)
