What To Look For
The Brewers have won four of their past five games, with victories over Bard College, Clarkson University, Hobart College and most recently Rochester Institute of Technology. In Saturday's 72-65 win over RIT, four Vassar players scored in double figures: Mickey Adams (Boston, MA/St. Sebastian's School) poured in a career-best 21 points, Alex Seff (Arlington, VA/Washington-Lee) contributed 18, Jesse Browne (Barrington RI/Deerfield Academy) added 15 and Erikson Wasyl (Durham, CT/Coginchaug) finished with 10. RIT never led, as Vassar was able to secure its second straight victory. Union will also be looking to extend its winning streak, as the Dutchmen have won their past four games.

A Look At The Union Dutchmen (10-10, 8-5 Liberty)
The Dutchmen are currently riding their longest winning streak of the season, having won their past four games against Hobart College, Hamilton College, St. Lawrence University and most recently Clarkson University. In Saturday's 65-56 win over CU, Union junior Deshon Burgess scored 29 points on 10-of-15 shooting. Burgess is second in the Liberty League in scoring with 19 points per game and third in the conference in minutes with 35 per game. Clarkson jumped out to an early lead, but Union ended the half on a 27-12 run and never trailed from there.

Union is first in the Liberty League with 74.2 points per game, but has struggled to score efficiently from the floor at 41.5 percent, second lowest in the conference. The Thoroughbreds have also been somewhat ineffective from the foul line, shooting a League-low 63 percent. Union has been effective on the glass, however, grabbing a conference-best 39.5 boards per game, ahead of Skidmore (38.6). William Hython leads the League with 10.4 rebounds per game.

Against Union All-Time
Vassar is 9-23 versus Union all-time, dating back to their first meeting in 1988. The Brewers swept the 2014-15 season against the Dutchmen, having won 88-80 on Jan. 1 and 69-67 on Jan. 31.

A Look At The Skidmore Thoroughbreds (12-8, 7-5 Liberty)
Before the Thoroughbreds host the Brewers on Saturday, they'll first head to Troy, NY to take on Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Friday. Skidmore has won five of its past seven games, most recently losing 69-53 to St. Lawrence on Feb. 2. In their most recent outing, three Thoroughbreds scored in double figures: Edvinas Rupkus had 12 points, while Royce Paris and Jack Byrne added 10 apiece. Skidmore shot 35 percent from the floor to St. Lawrence's 44 percent.

Skidmore boasts two players at the top of the conference's list of scorers with Erik Sanders third in the League with 16.7 points per game and Rupkus fourth with 16.6. Rupkus is first in the conference with a 58 percent field-goal clip, and Paris also leads with an 82 free-throw percentage. The Thoroughbreds have shot 71 percent from the foul line, which is second best in the League, but have shot just 31 percent from beyond the arc, good for second worst in the conference.

Against Skidmore All-Time
Vassar is 18-25 against Skidmore all-time since their first meeting in 1989. The Thoroughbreds swept the 2014-15 season against the Brewers, having won 69-65 on Jan. 3 and 62-48 on Jan. 30.

Low Scoring
Vassar is holding opponents to the third lowest amount of points (69.9) in the conference.

Race To The Finish
The Brewers come into the week tied for second in the conference at 7-5, one game behind League-leading St. Lawrence University at 8-4.

Fire Those Threes!
The Brewers hold the second best 3-point percentage in the conference (34.6), while hitting the third most threes with 7.9 per game.

On The Mark
In nine of their past 11 games, the Brewers have shot more efficiently from deep compared to their opponents.

Career Outing
In Vassar's 72-65 over RIT on Saturday, Mickey Adams scored a game- and career-best 21 points along with seven rebounds. Since scoring in double figures for the first time Jan. 12 against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Adams has scored at least 11 points in six of his games.

Top 10
Two Brewers are within the Top 10 of the Liberty League's scoring list: Jesse Browne (7th, 15.5 points per game) and Erikson Wasyl(6th, 15.4) earned the honors, as Vassar's top two scorers. Browne and Erikson are also sixth and seventh in the conference with respective 44.4 and 43.1 field-goal percentages.

Efficient Erikson
Erikson Wasyl has been efficient from all over the floor, making 43.1 percent of his field goals and draining 41.5 percent of his triples for third-best. The senior's productivity has helped him reach double-digit scoring in all but two games this season.

Iron Men
Two Brewers have been earning valuable minutes to lead the Liberty League. Erikson Wasyl ranks first with 35.6 minutes per game, while Jesse Browne ranks fourth in that category with 35.

Durable Defense
Freshman Paul Grinde (Virginia Beach, VA/Cape Henry Collegiate School) has been holding it down for the Brewers on the defensive end. The center's 1.1 blocks and 7.3 rebounds per game are good for fourth-best in the conference.

History Made
Paul Grinde made history Jan. 16 when he pulled down the most rebounds in Vassar College men's basketball history. The freshman grabbed 18 rebounds against Union College to surpass Alex Snyder, who collected 17 against RIT on Feb. 9, 2013.

Up Next
The Vassar men will head back to Poughkeepsie for their final home game of the regular season. Tipoff against Bard College is set for 8 p.m. at the Athletics and Fitness Center on Wednesday, Feb. 17.
