2017-2018: Liberty League Second Team… Browne wrapped up a stellar career with the Brewers, leading the team back to Liberty League playoffs as a captain… started all 26 games for Vassar this season, averaging 34.1 minutes per game… finished his career with 1261 points, sixth all time for the Brewers… fourth all-time in career scoring average, maintaining a 13.9 point per game average through four years… third all-time in career field goals and career 3-pointers with 458 and 194 respectively…eclipsed the 1000 point mark against Marymount (12/30/17)… averaged 15.5 points per game, the most on the team… led the team in 3 points field goals, netting 66 from deep this season… collected 100 rebounds on the season, fifth on the team… was third on the team with 12 steals on the season… scored 20 points or more nine times this season, including 23 points at Marymount (12/30/17) and 22 points at SUNY New Paltz (11/21/17) and Clarkson (1/5/18)… gathered 4 steals against Wesleyan (12/6/17)…. Tallied a double-double against RIT (1/13/18) with 11 points and 11 rebounds…
2016-2017: As a captain in his junior season, Browne continued where he left off last season, leading the team in almost all categories...started and played in every game for a total of 818 minutes...ended the season with 338 points, with 35 of those points coming from three-pointers...was a key play maker for the Brewer offense, dishing out 66 assists...Browne was equally impressive on defense, coming out first in blocks (7), second in steals (25), and fourth in rebounds (90). Was a force during the Waynesburg matchup (11-27-16), where he shot 70% in the field and 100% from the free throw line, coming away from the victory with a season high of 26 points.
2015-16: Liberty League All-Academic...Browne started in all 26 games for the Brewers, averaging 35.4 minutes a game for 921 minutes...Led the Brewers in scoring, finishing seventh in the Liberty League. Totaled 405 points to average 15.6 points per game. Browne shot 44.8% as a sophomore, making 150 of his 335 field goal attempts. He connected on 42.5% of his attempted triples for a total of 62. He was just as generous with the ball, leading the Brewers in assists with 61. Browne was fourth for the Brewers in rebounds, grabbing 21 offensive boards and 83 defensive for a total of 104. Browne led the Brewers in steals with 27. In a victory against Hobart (1/23/16), Browne scored a career-high 31 points and pulled down a game-high nine rebounds to help propel the Brewers to a 75-66 win. He had a strong showing against RPI (1/12/16), scoring 28 points and connecting on four triples. Added 23 points against Clarkson University (1/29/16) to help his team to a 85-70 victory at home.
2014-15: Liberty League All-Rookie Team…Started in 10 of 14 games played, averaging 8.3 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists…made his college debut against SUNY Maritime (1/12) after missing the first 11 games due to injury.…established himself as a starter by his fourth game…came off the bench to score 24 points against RIT in just his third career game (1/17)…started his first game against St. Lawrence, playing all 40 minutes and recording 11 points, a career-high 6 rebounds, a career-high 4 assists and no turnovers, while shooting 50% from the field and 42.9% from 3-pt range (1/23)…finished with 14 points, 3 assists and the game-winner against Union (1/31)…posted team-high 18 points against St. Lawrence (2/7)…finished with 9 points and an assist against both RIT (2/13) and Hobart (2/14).
PRIOR TO VASSAR: Lettered two years at Barrington...went on to letter one year at Deerfield Academy
under Coach Conrad Pitcher...captained team in his second year there...earned NEPSAC All-League honors...1,000 point scorer over his high school career...was a member of National Honor Society.
PERSONAL: Son of Joseph and Laura Browne...brother of 14 year old Harrison...plans to major in economics...chose Vassar because of BJ Dunne.
