What To Look ForThe Brewers (9-10, 5-5 Liberty League) come back Friday after a heartbreaking overtime 80-73 loss against St. Lawrence University on Saturday. Four Brewers scored in double figures with
Alex Seff (Arlington, VA/Washington-Lee) totaling a career-best 16 points and nine rebounds,
Jesse Browne (Barrington, RI/Deerfield Academy) finishing with 14 points,
Mickey Adams (Boston, MA/St. Sebastian's) adding 13 points and
Paul Grinde (Virginia Beach, VA/Cape Henry Collegiate School) leading with a team-high 18 points. Ultimately, after 11 ties and 18 lead changes, St. Lawrence finished on top with a score of 80-73. This weekend, Hobart will be looking for another win after a 64-61 success over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Jan. 30. RIT will be looking to come back after a 77-71 loss to Skidmore College.
A Look At The Hobart Statesmen (9-10, 5-5 Liberty)The Statesmen will be looking for their second consecutive win after beating Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute 64-61 on Jan. 30. First-year Matt Walsh scored a career-high 20 points to lead the Statesmen, going 6-of-11 from the floor with three 3-pointers. Sophomore Luke Ruddy produced his third double-double of the season on 10 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. RPI outshot Hobart 47 percent to 37 percent, but free throws kept the Statesmen in the game, as they made as many as the Engineers attempted (14).
Hobart is last of nine teams with its 40.1 field goal percentage, but makes up for it with its 35.4 three-point percentage, which is good for second in the conference only behind RIT (37.5 percent). The Statesmen are also second in the conference in free-throw percentage, shooting 71.6 percent from beyond the arc. Hobart has the third best turnover margin at .63 behind RPI (2.00) and St. Lawrence (1.83). The Statesmen have been forcing turnovers, tallying 7.63 steals per game, good for second best in the conference.
Against Hobart All-TimeVassar is 3-26 versus Hobart all-time, dating back to their first meeting in 2001. The Brewers split the 2014-15 season with the Statesmen after winning 65-63 on Feb. 14, 2015.
Spencer Einhorn (Birmingham, AL/Mountain Brook) totaled 11 points with three triples off the bench in that victory.
A Look At The RIT Tigers (10-9, 6-4 Liberty)The Tigers look to rebound after a 77-71 loss the Skidmore on Jan. 30 when they face Bard on Friday. In the loss, AJ Horde led RIT with 20 points, four rebounds and two steals, while Kamron Davis added 12 points and eight rebounds, and Miguel Lopez chipped in 11 points off the bench. Trailing 65-64 with 5:05 to play, Skidmore outscored RIT, 13-6, over the final five minutes to hang on for a six-point win.
RIT leads the Liberty League with 75.4 points per game, but the Tigers are eighth of nine teams in scoring defense at 75.1 points — yielding many high-scoring contests. Part of the reason for RIT's high-scoring games is because of its League-leading 45 percent field goal efficiency. The Tigers have also been efficient from beyond the arc, hitting a conference-leading 37.5 percent of their shots. RIT grabs the third-highest amount of rebounds per game with 37.9 behind Union (40.1) and Skidmore (38.6). Also on defense, RIT leads the conference with 3.58 blocks per contest.
Against RIT All-TimeVassar is 3-6 against RIT all-time, since their first meeting in 1990. The Brewers look to snap a three-game skid, after most recently falling 69-67 on Feb. 13, 2015.

Erikson Wasyl ranks first with 35.7 minutes per game, while
Jesse Browne ranks fourth in that category with 34.9.

Erikson Wasyl (5th, 16.1 points per game) and Jesse Brown (9th, 14.7) earned the honors, as Vassar's top two scorers.
Efficient EriksonErikson Wasyl has been efficient from all over the floor, making 43.8 percent of his field goals for seventh-best in the conference and draining 42.5 percent of his triples for second-best. The senior's productivity has helped him reach double-digit scoring in all but two games this season.
Glass CleanerFreshman
Paul Grinde (Virginia Beach, VA/Cape Henry Collegiate School) has been holding it down for the Brewers on the defensive end. The center's 1.2 blocks and 7.4 rebounds per game are good for fourth-best in the conference.

Alex Snyder, who collected 17 against RIT on Feb. 9, 2013.
