A Look At The Brewers (2-1):
  • Vassar is one of four Liberty League schools to have notched at least two wins on the young season. Rochester Institute of Technology stands atop the standings with a 3-0 record, while Clarkson University and Rensselaer all claim a 2-1 mark.
  • The Brewers are shooting 38 percent from three this year, while holding their opponents to just 17 percent from behind the arc. Nicole Teta has been leading the team from three this season with eight made three-pointers so far.

  • Samarah Cook has been leading Vassar in assists with five per game. The Brewers have been averaging 19.3 dishes per game.
  • Nicole Teta matched her career best Saturday against D'Youville College with 23 points.  She poured in just as many just once before last season at Bard College.
  • Rebounding has been key for Vassar, who have been out-rebounding their opponents by an average of 17.0 boards per game. Sophie Nick (11.7rpg) and junior captain Ariella Rosenthal (7.7rpg) have been leading the rebounding effort.
  • Vassar boasts a young squad, comprised of five freshmen, six sophomores, three juniors and no seniors.
  • The Brewers look to build upon their 2015-16 season, in which they finished 10-15 overall and 7-9 in Liberty League play.
A Look at the Knights (2-0)
  • MSMC is one of three Skyline conference schools to have not lost a game so far this season. Purchase is 3-0, while Merchant Marine is 1-0. Technically, Old Westbury has not lost a game, as it has not played.
  • The Knights have won their first two games, picking up wins over Hunter College and Liberty League opponent Bard College.
  • In their first two wins, the Knights have outscored their opponents by 27.5 points, most recently beating Bard by 39.
  • MSMC has been led in scoring this season by sophomore Megan Kerutis and freshman Jordyn Hellpap, who have each been averaging 12.0 points per game in their first two games.
  • The Knights are led in rebounding by sophomore Kayla Cleare, who has averaged nine boards per game.
  • Jordyn Hellpap has been shooting 42.3 percent from behind the arc, leading the Knights, who has been shooting just 23.4 percent from three this season.
  • Turnovers will be key this game, as MSMC forces 21.5 turnovers per game while only giving up 15.
  • The Knights were chosen to finish fifth in the Skyline conference after finishing 14-13 last season with a 10-6 mark in league play.
  • Like the Brewers, MSMC has a young team with no seniors, five juniors, five sophomores and two freshmen.
Against Mount St. Mary's All-Time: Vassar leads the series against MSMC, 19-6. In their most recent meeting, the Brewers picked up a 64-49 win in Poughkeepsie on Feb. 2, 2016.

Next Up: Vassar's meeting with MSMC is the Brewers' final game before Thanksgiving. They return to action, hosting William Paterson at the Athletics and Fitness Center on Monday, Nov. 28 at 6 p.m.
