Sierra McDermed (San Antonio, TX) has been named Third Team All-Met by the Metropolitan Basketball Writers Association it was announced on Monday. McDermed earns All-Met honors for the second straight year after earning Second Team honors a season ago.
McDermed had another standout year for the Brewers, leading to a third straight First Team All-Liberty League selection. McDermed led the Brewers with 12.6 points per game and paced the team with 33.7 minutes per night. McDermed was good for 5.8 rebounds per game to go along with just over two assists per game and nearly two steals per contest.
McDermed closed out a strong senior campaign shooting 42.9-percent from the floor along with a 73.9-percent conversion rate from the free-throw line. McDermed scored in double-figures 18 times, including a season-high 23 points twice and finishes her career with 1,449 points which ranks fifth all-time at Vassar.
Among the conference leaders, McDermed led the Liberty League in minutes per game, ranked fourth in scoring and eighth in both rebounding and blocked shots.
Vassar concluded the 2025-26 season with a 12-14 overall record.
