Last Time Out: Vassar topped Mount Saint Mary College 4-1 in a non-conference meeting at Gordon Field on Wednesday.
Rory Chipman notched the game-winner (assisted by
Audrey Pillsbury), freshman
Gabrielle Deitch added a pair of goals (one assisted by
Rebecca Andrews, the other unassisted), and
Emily Krebs capped scoring with an unassisted goal in the 85

A Look At The Brewers (5-5-1):
- Rebecca Andrews landed on the honor roll of this week's Liberty League release, as announced on Monday. The sophomore notched two goals, including a game-winner, in Vassar's 2-0 week. The full release can be read here.
- Vassar stands atop of the Liberty League standings, tied with No. 2 William Smith with nine points.
- In the Hero College Sports News rankings, Vassar jumped nine spots to No. 56 of 440 Division III women's soccer teams.
- According to Massey Ratings, Vassar's strength of schedule is the 11th hardest in the country out of 435 Division III women's soccer teams.
- The Brewers will ride a four-game winning streak into Troy, NY, having beaten Skidmore College 7-1, Clarkson University 3-1, St. Lawrence 4-0 and MSMC 4-1.
- The Brewers have outshot opponents 180-98 overall and 89-51 in shots-on-goal. Of their 25 total goals, 19 have been assisted.
- Vassar has picked up its aggression in the second half, scoring more than three times as many goals after the break, 19-6.
- Rebecca Andrews has significantly picked up her game, notching eight points through the first three games of conference play. The sophomore now leads the Brewers with 11 points on five goals, which are tied for the third most scores in the conference.
- Savannah Cutler is finding her stride during her freshman campaign, notching four assists over the first three games of conference play. Those four helps are good for second in the league.
- Stephanie Tapolsky has been solid in net for the Brewers, fending away 36 shots for a 4-5-0 record, including a shutout. Fellow keeper Phoebe Reuben has also spent time in the cage, making two saves for a 0-0-1 mark.
A Look At The Engineers (9-2-0):
- The Engineers have enjoyed a bit of success so far in 2015, starting the season 4-0 and then stringing together another four-game winning streak later in the schedule. RPI's two losses came at No. 1 Williams College on Sept. 18 and versus No. 2 William Smith College on Oct. 1.
- Already, the Engineers have greatly improved upon last season, in which they finished 6-7-6 overall and 2-3-3 in Liberty League play.
- RPI boasts a young team of 12 freshmen and three seniors, having graduated seven seniors after the 2015 season.
- This year, the Engineers have outshot opponents 177-97 overall and 83-47 in shots-on-goal. Of their 15 total goals, nine have been assisted.
- RPI has shown an ability to strike at any time, totaling seven goals in the first half, six in the second, one in the first overtime and one in the second.
- The Engineers have capitalized off of given opportunities, scoring twice on two penalty kick attempts.
- Emily Kaplan leads the Engineers with 12 points on six goals (five of which were game-winners). Helping the offensive effort are Cori Winslow and Stephanie May, who have each collected six points on two goals and a pair of assists.
- Joey Lyons has fended off 43 goals for a 9-2-0, including six shutouts. Fellow keeper Tori Riopelle has also spent some time in net, making no saves over two appearances.
Against RPI All-Time: The Brewers are 14-16-1 against the Engineers all-time, dating back to their first meeting in 1988. Last season, Vassar came out on top with a 3-0 shutout.
Next Up: Vassar will conclude its three-game road trip at Rochester Institute of Technology (Friday, Oct. 14 at 4 p.m.) and No. 2 William Smith College (Saturday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m.) before returning home to Poughkeepsie for a pair of games.
