Defender
Tyler Gilmore notched the game-winner in Vassar's 2-1 victory at Clarkson on Sept. 30. In the 81st minute, the sophomore headed in his third goal of the season off a long free kick by
Tanner Sands. With that, Gilmore has two game-winners on the year. Additionally, Gilmore boosted a defense that held Clarkson to three shots-on-goal and No. 11 St. Lawrence to just five.
Jose Novas scored the equalizer in Vassar's 2-1, come-from-behind win at Clarkson on Sept. 30. After falling behind 1-0 early in the first half, Novas continued to play aggressively. In the 62nd minute, Novas poked in a second-chance score after freshman
Mattie Mrlik's initial header was saved but dropped. With that, Novas is second on the team with 10 points on four goals and two assists.
Rebecca Andrews notched two goals, including a game-winner, in Vassar's 2-0 week. In Vassar's 3-1 win over Clarkson on Sept. 30, the sophomore scored the game-winner, tucking a penalty kick into the bottom, left corner. The very next day, in Vassar's 4-0 triumph over St. Lawrence, Andrews beamed a laser shot over the goalkeeper from about 25 yards out to give Vassar a 2-0 advantage, thanks to an assist from freshman
Savannah Cutler. Andrews leads the Brewers with 10 points on five goals, which is also the third most scores in the Liberty League.
