Noah Parson (Cary, NC/Panther Creek) finished with a game-high five goals, while eight other Brewers chipped into the scoring tally as Vassar defeated Bard College 17-8 on April 1. The Brewers were dominant in the second half, outscoring the Raptors 10-3 while allowing just 10 shots to secure the victory.
A Look at the Saints (5-5, 2-0 Liberty League) St. Lawrence enters Saturday's contest 5-5 on the season and 2-0 in the Liberty League. The Saints are currently receiving votes in the USILA Coaches Poll, and defeated Union College on March 28 when the Dutchmen were the No. 3 ranked team in the nation. St. Lawrence currently sports one of the most efficient man-up offensive units in the country, ranking 13
th in the nation with a 47.2% clip on EMOs. The Saints also sport a tenacious defense, ranking first in the Liberty League and 44
th in DIII lacrosse in caused turnovers per game (10.44).
The St. Lawrence attack is headlined by sophomore Conor Healey, who currently leads the Liberty League in points per game (4.60) with 21 goals and 25 assists on the year. Senior Tommy Hovey has also been a major contributor for the Saints, totaling a team-best 26 goals (2
nd in the Liberty League) and five assists. Sophomore Alec Dietsch has taken the bulk of faceoffs for the Saints, winning 50-116 for a .431 faceoff percentage. Seniors Andrew Butturini and Nick Ford have shared time in goal this season, both logging over 280 minutes in the cage. Butturini started SLU's last game against SUNY-Plattsburgh, where he made 13 saves and allowed 11 goals in the 11-7 loss for the Saints.
Against St. Lawrence All-TimeVassar is just 1-13 all-time against St. Lawrence, picking up its only win on April 16, 2011 for VC's first-ever Liberty League victory. SLU edged the Brewers last season in Canton, NY 13-8 on April 5.
Against Liberty League Foes Vassar is currently outscoring its Liberty League counterparts 30-29 in the team's three games this season. VC is outshooting conference opposition 109-101, while also holding a 68-55 advantage on shots on goal. The Brewers and its three Liberty League opponents have both committed an equal 55 turnovers.
Break Out GameSophomore
Sam Houston-Read (Waban, MA/Newton South) turned in perhaps his finest performance as a Brewer against Mt. St. Mary on March 25, notching four goals and four assists to help VC clinch the victory. Two of his goals against the Knights came in the final minutes of the second and third quarter to give Vassar back the lead, while he also scored the first two goals of the fourth quarter to extend VC's advantage. His eight points are the most in a single game by any Vassar player this season, and he becomes just the fourth player since 2002 to record eight or more in a game. Extra-Man Improvement After starting the year 4-24 on man-up opportunities, the Vassar special teams unit has settled in scoring eight goals on 13 opportunities the past four games. Sophomore
Chris Billups (Watchung, NJ/Oratory Preparatory) leads the team with five man-up goals this season.

Liam Moriarty (New Fairfield, CT/New Fairfield) has a six-game scoring streak scoring currently in progress, and has notched a hat trick in four of those games.
Noah Parson had a seven-game goal and point streak snapped against Skidmore, while sophomore
Brandon DeStasio also saw his seven-game point streak end against the Thoroughbreds. Senior
Scott Brekne has a 16-game ground ball streak dating back to March 29 of last season, scooping up at least one in every game since then.
Mr. 300Senior
Scott Brekne made history against Mt. St. Mary (NY), winning his 300
th career faceoff at Vassar. Brekne has been highly effective for the Brewers at the restart this season, winning 43-64 for a .672 faceoff percentage.
Parson Making Moves Junior
Noah Parson is now sixth all-time at Vassar in both career points (101) and goals (72) heading into Saturday's game. Parson sits behind Jack Gross ('12) on the all-time points list (102) and Christopher Toffoli ('12) on the all-time goals (73) list.
Parson is also inching toward the school record in man-up goals, coming into Saturday's matchup with 12 in his career. He now sits just one extra-man goal behind Jack Gross ('12), who finished his Brewer career with a program-record 13 man-up goals. Vassar is currently 4-0 this season when scoring a man-up goal.
