2017: Finished his career as one of the best attack men to come through the program...two-way player that led the Brewers in points with 46, while finishing second in goals and assists for Vassar...took 74 shots, which was the third-most on the team...was eighth in points per game in the LIberty League with 2.94...scored three man-up goals...was named as the Division III North National Player of the Week after his performances against Bard College and Union in the final week of the season...posted 23 ground balls as well...started all 16 games, posting at least one point in all but one..had multiple points in 14 games...posted a career-best five goals and an assist in a 20-10 win over Union to clinch a Liberty League playoff berth...finished with a goal and four assists in a 19-4 win over Bard College...posted two goals and an assist in an 11-7 loss to nationally-ranked St. Lawrence in the Liberty League Tournament...opened the year with two goals and two helpers in a 6-5 win over Drew...finished with three assists in wins over Oneonta and Bryn Athyn...chalked up two goals and two assists in a loss at Skidmore College...posted three ground balls and two caused turnovers at Drew...had three points in a 10-8 win over Colby March 21...finished with two goals in an 8-3 win over Swarthmore...scored on 33.8 percent of his shots in 2017...finished his career as the all-time games played leader with 63...second at Vassar in points with 150 and second in assists with 69...goal total for his career of 81 is the third most. 

2016: Liberty League All-Academic...Appeared in all 16 games and started 15 of them...scored 27 goals, the second most on the team...earned 24 assists, the most of any Brewer...totaled 51 points, the second most on the team...earned a .397 shot percentage and a .588 shot on goal percentage...grabbed 16 ground balls and caused four turnovers...scored three goals and earned two assists against Western Connecticut on February 24th...scored three goals against Swarthmore on March 5th...scored four goals, earned three assists, and grabbed three ground balls against Drew on April 5th...scored three goals and earned three assists against Union in the final game of the year on April 30th...had seven games where he scored at least two goals and assisted at least twice.

2015: One of only two players to start in all 16 games for the Brewers…36 points, ranked third on the team…scored 18 goals…notched 18 assists, which ranks tied for fifth all-time at Vassar in a single season…led the team with a .375 shooting percentage…picked up 23 groundballs….had a goal and two helpers in season-opening win over Manhattanville (2/25)…posted three assists in victory vs. Western Connecticut (3/12)…tallied a career-high eight points on four goals and four assists against Mt. St. Mary College (3/25)…earned Liberty League Honor Roll mention (3/30)…posted two assists and season-high four ground balls vs. Skidmore (3/28)…had three goals including the game-winner in win against Drew (4/7)…tallied five points on three goals and two assists vs. Clarkson (4/25). 

2014: Played in all 15 games, starting the last six of the year...recorded his first collegiate hat-trick against Williams College...ended the season with 11 goals and six assists for 17 points...recovered 17 ground balls and caused four turnovers.

PRIOR TO VASSAR: Captained both his lacrosse and football teams his senior year...started two years and lettered three in lacrosse while starting and lettering three years in football...Mendelson Award Winner 2013...Best Male Athlete Newton South High School...Dual County League All-Star senior year in football...Team All-Heart Winner in lacrosse his senior year...Honor Roll Student.

PERSONAL: Parents are John Houston and Kathy Read...economics major...younger sister is Rebecca (19) and younger brother is Zachary (17)...chose Vassar because of the "Perfect combination of campus, faculty and academics with the ability to participate in athletics."
