The Sagehen pair finally broke through in the tiebreak, winning 9-8 (7-5) to claim the match.
Sophomore Emily Hallewell (Washington, DC/Stone Ridge Sch. Scared Heart) and junior Winnie Yeates (New Orleans, LA/Isidore Newman School) also played a close match at No. 2 doubles, rallying from a 2-5 deficit to even the match at five all. The comeback bid fell just short, as Maryann Zhao and Maddie Gordon held on for the 9-7 win.
The Brewers will be back in action on Thursday, March 19 to face Whitman College at 10 am (PT).
