Troy, NY – A pair of Vassar College Women's Tennis seniors have been honored with Liberty League Weekly awards it was revealed Monday afternoon. Erin McCusker (Norton, MA) earned Singles Performer of the Week accolades for the second straight week and joined Iris Li (Palo Alto, CA) as the league's Doubles Team of the Week for the second time in the last three weeks.
 
McCusker put together a perfect 3-0 record playing out of the top singles flight last week as the Brewers toppled Rochester, RIT and William Smith. McCusker opened the week with a 6-0, 7-6 (7-5) win against Rochester on Friday before posting a 6-2, 7-6 (7-0) victory against RIT Saturday afternoon. McCusker closed the busy weekend with a 6-1, 6-0 top flight victory against William Smith on Sunday.
 
Through Sunday's match with the Herons, McCusker has won each of her last six singles decisions and holds an 8-8 record playing out of the top spot this spring.
 
In addition to a 3-0 singles record, McCusker teamed with Li to win each of their three doubles matches over the weekend. The perfect weekend started with a 6-0 blanking of Rochester's top pair of Friday and continued with a hard fought 7-6 (7-5) win against RIT on Saturday. In Sunday's match at William Smith, Vassar's top duo battled to a 7-5 victory against the Herons.
 
McCusker and Li has won each of their last eight doubles decisions and hold a 10-6 record playing out of the top position.
 
Winners of nine straight matches, Vassar holds a 12-5 overall record and a perfect 7-0 record against Liberty League opponents.
