A Look At The Brewers
The Brewers (1-2) built a fourth quarter comeback on Saturday while hosting the Garnet of Swarthmore College. The spurt fell short as Swarthmore killed the clock and Vassar fell, 15-10. Sophomore Colin Cederna (Milan, MI/Saline) recorded four goals and senior Max Herman (Flemington, NJ/Hunterdon Central Regional) posted two of his own and dished out three assists. Freshman Liam Moriarty (New Fairfield, CT/New Fairfield) buried two goals on the day as well. Sophomores Noah Parson (Cary, NC/Panther Creek) and Shane Flattery (Brewster, NY/Brewster) both found twine on the day. The Brewers outscored the Garnet 5-1 in the fourth quarter.

Senior Andrew Nicol (Carmel, NY/Brewster) has allowed 36-of-70 shots on goal to break the scoring plane. He has faced a total of 102 rips so far this season. Herman holds steady to the Brewers' point-leader. With his eight goals and four helpers, he has 12 points and Moriarty is in second with nine tallies from six netters and three assists.

The Brewers are a .500 team with man-up opportunities, scoring five out of 10 situations. Their opponents have capitalized on only six of their 13 tries. The Brewers average 10.3 goals a game off of 34.7 shots.

A Look At The Fighting Tigers
SUNY Cobleskill dropped their second game of the season, 20-3 on the road at FDU-Florham. Two freshmen scored the Tigers goals on Sunday. Max Sprauer recorded the two netters and Chris Magee followed with one. The Tigers only found openings to fire 21 shots as compared to their hosts' 55 rips. Only nine of their shots were on target. It was a ground balls field day as FDU-Florham grabbed 58 and Cobleskill recovered 43. Eric Randazzo made 14 saves on the day.

Sprauer leads the Tigers with five goals off of 20 shots. Three of them have been in man-up situations. Magee and Austin Fragale both have one netter on the year. Cobleskill's players have mad connections on only two goals with assists from David Meyers and Austin Hackett. They currently are 26-26 in face-offs but have more turnovers (66-54) and have recovered less ground balls (98-69) this year.

Against SUNY Cobleskill All-Time
The Brewers are perfect against the Tigers with a 3-0 record. The two teams have met in 2009, 2010 and 2012 with Vassar never scoring less than 13 and Cobleskill never scoring more than seven. In two occasions the Brewers have won by 10 goals (17-7 in '09 and 13-3 in '10).

Score Streaks! Get Your Score Streaks!
Parson and Herman currently have the largest scoring streaks on the roster. Including how last year ended, Parson has found twine in seven straight contests while Herman has managed in the last six. Moriarty also has a three-game streak going as a freshman.

Name Of The Game: Precision
Vassar is second in the Liberty League with an average of 23 shots on goal per game. With a third place ranking in shots per game throughout the League, Vassar is only led by last year's national runner-up, Rochester Institute of Technology.

Someone Missing? Oh Well, Just Score
The Brewers are tied for first place in the Liberty League with a perfect percentage of capitalizing on man-up situations. Vassar has been placed in five scenarios this season and has scored on all accounts. RIT and Clarkson University also have 100 percent seasons with the Tigers scoring on all six chances and the Golden Knights finding prime netting on their three instances.

Up Next
The Brewers will next head to Danbury, CT to face the Colonials of Western Connecticut State University on Friday, March 14 at 4:30 pm.
