In a 6-3 win over Tufts,  f reshman Lisa Evans had the match of the day for Vassar with a five-set 5-11, 13-11, 11-9, 9-11, 13-11 win at No. 6 against Ushashi Basu. Evans hit a between-the-legs shot to claim the third set and take a 2-1 lead. Basu responded with an 11-9 win in the fourth and took a 10-7 lead in the fifth. Evans fought off three match points for a 13-11 win in the fifth.
