Troy, NY - The Liberty League announced its weekly award winners on Monday afternoon as Vassar College Field Hockey first year goalkeeper
Kendra Pitts was named the league's Rookie of the Week.
Pitts made nine saves in goal over two games this week as the Brewers went 1-1 on the week. Pitts posted her first shutout and earned her first career victory in a 3-0 over Montclair State while making six saves and also made three saves in net in a 1-0 setback against #11 Wesleyan.
In three games played in goal, Pitts has posted a 0.49 goals against average, a .909 save percentage and has been part of two shutouts for the Brewers.
Vassar will travel to Kean on Wednesday afternoon at 4:00 p.m. before playing host to nationally ranked foe Stevens on Saturday.
