Jess Geoghagan (Mercer Island, WA) has been named the Liberty League Co-Rookie of the Week in Men's Lacrosse it was announced on Monday afternoon. The honor is the second of the season for Geoghagan who was tabbed Rookie of the Week on March 9.
Geoghagan backstopped Vassar to a 10-9 Liberty League victory over Clarkson on Saturday with a 20-save performance. It marked the fourth time this season that Geoghagan has made double-figure saves and the second time he has turned aside as many as 20 shots in a contest.
In seven appearances as a rookie, Geoghagan has made 96 saves for the Brewers and is working to a .536 save percentage. Among the Liberty League leaders, Geoghagan ranks fourth in the conference in save percentage and is the league leader with 13.71 saves per game.
At 5-4 overall on the season and 1-1 against conference rivals, Vassar returns to action on April 1 when it visits RPI.
