Women's Track and Field Posts Sixth Place Overall Finish at RPI Under the Lights Invite

Brewers score personal-bests throughout both days, head to Bucknell tomorrow

Troy, NY - The Vassar College Women's Track and Field team finished action on Friday night at the two-day RPI Under the Lights Invite with a sixth place team finish out of 12 scoring teams.

400 Meters
  • First year Lianna Camille raced to a second place finish in a personal-best time of 1:01:29.
  • Junior Margaret McLaughlin finished eighth overall with a mark of 1:05.11.
100 Meter Hurdles
  • Junior Jahmilia Dennis recorded a fourth place finish in 15.27 followed by junior Freja Niklasson in eighth place with a time of 16.69.
  • First year Elana Pukel scored a ninth place finish in a personal-best time of 16.89.
100 Meters 800 Meters
  • First year Lizzie Lowe scored a fourth place finish with a time of 2:21.13.
400 Meter Hurdles
  • Niklasson earned a third place finish with a mark of 1:11.06.
200 Meters
  • Senior Faye Stevens scored a ninth place finish with a time of 27.26 while Wilkins-Lanier was 20th overall in 29.38.
  • Falkowski tallied a top-25 finish with a time of 30.12.
1500 Meters
  • First year Hadley Snell recorded a fourth place finish with a personal-best time of 5:09.18.
Hammer Throw
  • Senior Soleil Yuong finished 10th overall with a toss of 31.88 meters followed by first year Meara Morgan in 11th place with a career-best mark of 31.77 meters.
  • Junior Kolby Davis registered a 19th place finish at a career-best 26.33 meters along with first year Amanda Hanrahan also competed.
Shot Put
  • Davis earned a seventh place finish with a career-best mark of 10.64 meters while Hanrahan finished 13th at 9.55 meters.
  • Morgan tallied a 15th place finish with a mark of 8.97 meters along with junior Ava Gurley finishing 20th with a career-best toss of 8.54 meters.
  • Stevens recorded a mark of 8.00 meters for a top-25 finish while Pukel also finished in the top-25 at 7.95 meters.
Javelin Throw
  • Yuong scored a 10th place finish with a mark of 25.42 meters while sophomore Jillian Benfante was 19th overall at 14.46 meters.
Long Jump
  • Junior Jamie Eu recorded an eighth place finish with a leap of 4.88 meters along with Passley-Harris was 11th overall with a mark of 4.77 meters.
  • Pukel tallied a 12th place mark with a personal-best jump of 4.76 meters while Wilkins-Lanier finished 16th with a personal-best mark of 4.30 meters.
High Jump
  • Colgan recorded a top mark of 1.31 meters while Benfante also competed in the high jump.

  • Vassar will travel to Bucknell University tomorow for the Bison Outdoor Classic.
