Haley Schoenegge punched her ticket to the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field 1500 meters finals on Thursday afternoon at Wisconsin-La Crosse as Schoenegge posted the fastest time in the preliminary round.
Schoenegge, the two-time defending national champion, got out to a quick start in her heat with a 50.15 opening 300 meters as she coasted to a first place finish in heat #1 and recorded a time of 4:24.00 to clinch her spot in Saturday afternoon's final.Â

Amanda Hanrahan will compete in the hammer throw at 12:00 p.m., Schoenegge will race in the 1500 meters finals at 2:25 p.m. and the 5000 meters finals at 5:00 p.m. and senior
Jahmilia Dennis will compete in the triple jump at 3:00 p.m.
