Tova Gelb Named Fifth Team All-American By D3Hoops.com

Senior earns second All-American honor

Poughkeepsie, NY – Vassar College senior guard Tova Gelb (Sharon, MA) has added another postseason award to her resume after garnering Fifth Team All-American honors from D3hoops.com it was announced Saturday afternoon. Gelb becomes the fifth postseason D3hoops.com All-American in program history and first since 2014.
 
Saturday's honor adds to a postseason list of awards for Gelb that includes Liberty League Player and Defensive Player of the Year, D3hoops.com Region III Player of the Year and WBCA All-American. Gelb is the first postseason All-American picked by D3hoops.com since 2014 and joins the list of Brittany Parks (Fourth Team, 2010) and Cyndi Matsuoka (Honorable Mention 2012, Fourth Team 2013, Preseason First Team 2013, Second Team 2014).
 
Gelb had a standout year for the Brewers that saw her lead the team and Liberty League in scoring (18.3), rebounding (10.4) and steals (2.7). Gelb shot 47.8-percent from the field and also contributed just under three assists per game and 1.1 blocks per outing.
 
Gelb led the team with 18 double-doubles on the season and scored in double-figures in 25 of the team's 28 games on the season. Gelb poured in a single-game program record 36 points on January 18 in an overtime win against RIT, a game in which she became the 15th player in program history to score 1,000 career points.
 
Gelb closes her career with 1,278 points and 7.3 rebounds per game over 106 contests.
 
Vassar finished the 2024-25 season with a 21-7 overall record, won its second straight Liberty League title and made the program's sixth ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament.
