Schoenegge, Hanrahan Reset School Record Marks at the West Point Tune-Up

Brewers will head to the LL Championships at Ithaca on Friday

West Point, NY - Sophomore Haley Schoenegge broke her own school record in the 800 meters and first year Amanda Hanrahan reset the school mark in the weight throw for the Vassar College Women's Track and Field team at the West Point Tune-Up on Saturday.

Shot Put
  • Junior Sydney Petrie finished 13th overall with a toss of 9.66 meters followed by first year Amanda Hanrahan in 14th with a mark of 9.55 meters.
  • Junior Kolby Davis recorded a throw of 8.79 meters along with first year Meara Morgan registering a toss of 8.45 meters and first year Elana Pukel earning a personal-best mark of 8.19 meters.
  • Junior Abbe Colgan rounded out the Vassar throwers with a mark of 7.03 meters.
High Jump
  • Colgan finished with a career-best mark of 1.35 meters along with sophomore Jillian Benfante recording a mark of 1.30 meters.
Long Jump
  • Junior Jahmilia Dennis finished second overall with a leap of 4.93 meters while Pukel finished seventh with a personal-best mark of 4.59 meters.
  • First year Lainie D'Auria scored an eighth place finish at 4.57 meters along with junior Jamie Eu finishing ninth at 4.48 meters and junior Sydney Passley-Harris earning a 10th place finish at 4.46 meters.
  • First year Mason Wilkins-Lanier recorded a leap of 3.88 meters.
60 Meter Hurdles
  • Dennis finished first in the prelims with a time of 9.21 followed by senior Faye Stevens finishing fourth with a time of 9.85.
  • Junior Freja Niklasson scored a fifth place finish in prelims in 9.86 along with Pukel finishing eighth in 10:08.
  • Stevens tallied a third place finish in the finals in 9.78 while Niklasson was fourth in 9.83.
  • Pukel crossed the finish line in sixth in 10.11 and Dennis was seventh with a time of 10.14.
60 Meters
  • D'Auria finished fifth in prelims in a time of 8.19 and advanced to the finals and placed fifth in 8.16.
  • Eu also qualified for the finals with a seventh place finish in a personal-best time of 8.26 and finished seventh in the finals in 8.32.
  • Senior Traci Francis scored a 10th place finish in 8.44 followed by Wilkins-Lanier in 13th in a personal-best time of 8.53.
  • Senior Lily Falkowski crossed the finish line in 15th in 8.56 along with Passley-Harris in 17th in 8.66.
  • First year Sophia Moreau registered a top-30 finish with a time of 9.37.
Mile
  • Sophomore Acadia Helfand earned a third place finish with a career-best time of 5:18.74 while classmate Cayley Swaim finishing sixth overall with a mark of 5:31.80.
400 Meters
  • First year Lizzie Lowe recorded a fourth place finish in 1:03.80 followed closely by first year Skylar Spiro in fourth place in 1:04.16.
  • Junior Maddie Busam crossed the finish line in eighth place with a time of 1:07.96 along with senior Laura Wong finishing 11th in 1:09.38.
500 Meters 800 Meters
  • Schoenegge reset her own indoor school record with a first place finish in a time of 2:16.07 followed by first year Sarah France in second place in 2:26.32.
Weight Throw
  • Hanrahan broke her own school record indoor mark with a toss of 14.87 meters for a seventh place finish.
  • Davis finished 15th overall with a mark of 11.58 meters along with senior Soliel Yuong recording a toss of 11.02 meters and Morgan registering a personal-best throw of 10.06 meters.
200 Meters
  • Stevens crossed the finish line in third place with a time of 27.01 followed by first year Lianna Camille in eighth place with a personal-best mark of 27.82.
  • D'Auria finished 10th overall with a time of 28.46 along with Wilkins-Lanier finishing 15th in 29.23.
  • Falkowski scored a 17th place finish in 29.57 followed by Wong with a top-25 finish in 30.50.
  • Moreau earned a personal-best time of 34.32.
Triple Jump
  • Eu was victorious with a mark of 10.08 meters along with Camille finishing third with a leap of 9.96 meters.
3000 Meters
  • First year Hadley Snell raced to a fourth place finish in a personal-best time of 10:53:00 followed right behind by first year Chloe Bibula in fifth with a season-best time of 10:53.17.
  • Senior Sophie Farr earned a seventh place finish in 12:06.50.
4x400 Relay
  • The squad of France, Helfand, senior Sophia Henderson and Lowe recorded a time of 4:28.54.
Up Next
  • Vassar will travel to the Liberty League Championships beginning on Friday afternoon on the campus of Ithaca College.
