Troy, NY - The Liberty League announced its weekly award winners for the week ending February 16 as Vassar College Men's Basketball sophomore
Avery Lee collected his second Performer of the Week honor of the season.
Lee helped lead Vassar to a 2-0 weekend where the Brewers moved into a tie for first place in the league standings following season series sweeps over RIT and RPI and set a new program record for regular season conference victories in a season. Lee averaged 18 points, 3.5 assists, and 3.5 rebounds while shooting 41.9-percent overall, 55.6-percent from three and 71.4-percent from the free throw line.
In the victory over the Tigers, Lee scored a game-high 21 points along with four rebounds and a blocked shot while recording 15 points, seven assists and three boards in a rout of RPI. Lee ranks second on the team in scoring with 16.3 points per game, only behind conference-leading scorer
Shea Fitzgerald.
Vassar will close the regular season at home this weekend with matchups against Hobart and Ithaca. The matchup with the Statesmen on Friday will tip-off at 7:30 p.m. while Saturday's Senior Day tip-off with the Bombers is set for 4:00 p.m.
