Hoopsville is the first and longest running show dedicated to Division III basketball in the world. The show first hit the air in November of 2000 and has had a presence in Division III ever since.The 2025-26 basketball season marks the show's 23rd season, but even when the show was not available for a few seasons it has had a presence at every Division III men's championship weekend since 2001. Dave McHugh is the creator and host of Hoopsville which broadcasts out of his personal studios in the Baltimore area. McHugh is also the Broadcast Director for the D3sports.com network of websites,is a director and producer, broadcaster, public address announcer,and web streaming consultant with his company dmac Productions, and works part-time for Major League Baseball. Hoopsville features live, two-hour shows, twice a week from November through the NCAA national championships in March. The shows air on Mondays and Thursdays with On Demand archives and a podcast version available soon after the live shows go off the air.
