Women's Cross Country Dominates in Triumph at the Ron Stonitsch Invitational

Schoenegge coasts to a first place finish by 13 seconds

Poughkeepsie, NY - Sophomore Haley Schoenegge earned her second straight victory on Saturday as the #22 Vassar College Women's Cross Country team dominated the Ron Stonitsch Invitational to post its second straight team triumph to open the season.

VASSAR'S TOP FINISHERS

Schoenegge put together another dominate race as the sophomore crossed the finish line in 18:47.2, outpacing the next finisher by 13 seconds to earn her second straight first place finish to open the season.
Senior Anna Kaigle scored a third place finish with a time of 19:06.4 followed by sophomore Adelaide Nyhan in fifth in 19:30.5 and sophomore Acadia Helfand in sixth overall with a time of 19:30.5.
Junior Anika Mueller-Hickler and senior Noni Pattington rounded out the top-10 finishers for the Brewers as Mueller-Hickler finished eighth in 19:46.8 and Pattington was ninth with a time of 19:51.9.
Senior Sophia Henderson tallied an 11th place finish in 19:58.4, followed directly by sophomore Cayley Swaim in 12th with a time of 19:59.8.
First year Lizzie Lowe and Sarah France rounded out the top-15 as Lowe was 14th with a time of 20:06.0 with France finishing right behind at 20:07.2.
