Poughkeepsie, NY - The Vassar College Men's and Women's Cross Country teams head to St. Lawrence University on Saturday afternoon for the 2025 Liberty League Cross Country Championships at Ronald C. Hoffman Cross Country Course. The men's race will begin at 11:00 a.m. followed by the women's race at 12:00 p.m.
Women's Race
- Vassar looks to win its third straight conference crown as the Brewers return five All-League performers from last season's championship meet.
- Junior Haley Schoenegge leads the way for Vassar as she earned last season's individual title and posted the new course record and Liberty League Championship record time.
- Junior Adelaide Nyhan earned First Team honors last season along with junior Norah Reade scoring Second Team honors.
- Junior Cayley Swaim and Acadia Helfand each registered Honorable Mention honors to help propel Vassar to its second straight conference title in 2024.
- The Brewers have finished second as a team in three meets this season along with winning the Fred Pavlich Invitational.
- Vassar currently ranks 19th nationally and sixth in the Mideast Region in the USTFCCCA rankings.
Men's Race
- Vassar recorded a third place finish last season as Vassar returns All-League Honorable Mention junior Sean Miller.
- Miller broke the 8K school record set by Miles Takiguchi '24, which was set in 2022 at the Paul Short Run (24:22.0), with a time of 24:20.73 to finish 10th at the Conn College Invitational.
- The Brewers will look to junior Max Frazee to replace the finish of graduate Jose Magana from last season's race.
- VC has earned three top-three finishes this season and also finished seventh at the Pre-National Invitational.
- Vassar is currently sitting seventh in the USTFCCCA Mideast Regional rankings.

About Ronald C. Hoffmann Cross Country Course
Named in honor of St. Lawrence Hall of Famer and former cross country coach Ronald C. Hoffmann '54, the Ronald C. Hoffmann Cross Country Course is the home of the St. Lawrence University men's and women's cross country teams.
Located adjacent to Leithead Fieldhouse and Newell Field House on the St. Lawrence University campus, the course is the home of the annual Ronald C. Hoffmann Invitational, and has hosted numerous Liberty League and NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships. The course is a mix of grass, cinder and wooded trails and features an iconic hill that runners climb twice in the race. A long straightaway over the final 400 meters creates an exciting finish for both runners and spectators alike.
