lso INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Track and Field Committee announced today the participants in the 2024 NCAA Division III Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships as first year
Haley Schoenegge has earned a spot in the 1500 meters and the 5000 meters.
For each individual event contested, including the decathlon and heptathlon, the top 22 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition. For each relay event contested, the top 16 declared relay teams, one per institution, were accepted into the competition.
Schoenegge has now qualified for the Cross Country, Indoor Track and Field and Outdoor Track and Field National Championships as a first year and has been named the Co-Rookie of the Year in the Liberty League in both cross country and indoor track and field.
The first year was victorious in both the 1500 and 5000 meters at the Liberty League Outdoor Championships and collected the 1500 meters title at the AARTFC Outdoor Championships on Thursday at SUNY Cortland. Schoenegge also set the meet record times for all three of those victorious and has reset the Vassar program record book multiple times this season.
The championships will be held May 23-25 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The complete list of qualifiers is available on the following website:Â https://results.leonetiming.com/?mid=7114.
Schoenegge will compete on Thursday, May 23rd in the first round of the 1500 meters at 5:35 p.m. and then would race in the finals of the event, if qualified, on Saturday, May 25th at 4:25 p.m. The 5000 meters event will be held on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m.
