POUGHKEEPSIE, NY - The Vassar College Men's and Women's Track and Field teams hosted the Vassar Invite on Friday evening at the Weinberg Track as the seniors were honored prior to the meet. The Vassar women earned the first place team finish with 226 points while the Brewers men were third overall with 113 points.
The night opened up with sophomore

Two Brewers competed in the 3000-meters steeplechase as sophomore
Jose Magana was second in a time of 10:02.60 and sophomore
Levi Lilienthal was third in 10:29.94. Sophomore
Anna Kaigle tallied a second place finish in a time of 12:30.90 in the women's race.

Tim Buchan was victorious in the men's 1500-meters with a time of 4:03.43 and freshman
Davis Anderson was eighth in a time of 4:19.14. In the women's race, Vassar finished second, third and fourth overall with sophomore
Sophia Henderson in second in 4:59.10, freshman
Anika Mueller-Hickler was third in 5:02.94 and sophomore
Noni Pattington was fourth in 5:04.02.
Sophomore
Jae Young Seo finished third in the men's 110-meter hurdles in 17.23 while Dennis was second overall in 15.12 in the women's 100-meter hurdles while junior
Nora Jensen was fourth in 16.62.
In the men's 400-meter dash, junior
Sam Lytel finished sixth in 54.11 followed by Quinlan scoring an eighth place finish in 54.98. Freshman Abigail McLauglin was fourth in the women's race with a time of 1:06.05.
Next up was the men's 100-meters as junior
Darnell Worley was second in a time of 11.36 along with Sellitti scoring a fifth place finish in 12.23. Vassar finished second through eighth in the women's 100-meters as Francis was second overall in 12.58 followed by Novak in third at 12.91, Perez-Fry in fourth in 13.07 and Eu in fifth with a time of 13.18.
Junior
Tim Jacques earned a first place finish in the men's 800-meters with a time of 1:58.09 while sophomore
Nick Redstone finished third overall in 2:00.02. In the women's race, freshman
Margaret McLaughlin was ninth overall in 2:32.33 and senior
Ava Waters was 13th in a time of 2:36.05.
Freshman
Freja Niklasson was the first place finisher in the women's 400-meter hurdles in a time of 1:10.37 and junior
Laura Wong was third in a time of 1:10.68.Â
Sellitti was the top finisher for Vassar in the 200-meters in ninth overall in a time of 25.52 while the Brewers finished in the top three spots in the women's race with Novak finishing first in 27.11, Perez-Fry finishing second in 27.45 and Eu crossing the finish line in third in 27.81.Â
Freshman
Kai Chang was fifth overall in the men's 5000-meters in a time of 15:24.41 and rookie
Arlo Rucker was 12th in 15:55.73. Senior
Augusta Stockman earned a first place finish in the women's race as she posted a time of 17:41.30 and defeated the next collegiate runner by over a minute.
The final track event was the men's 4x400 relay as the quartet of Redstone, Lytel, Bergman and junior
Simon LaClair finished in first with a time of 3:31.39 and the group of Worley, Jacques, Miller and senior
Lukas Muzila were third in a time of 3:39.51. The women's relay of M. McLaughlin, Henderson, sophomore
Jordan Norman and Novak recorded a second place finish with a time of 4:23.04.
In the field events, sophomore
Elinor Kops was fifth with a mark of 1.40 meters in the women's high jump while sophomore
Max Bergman was second in the men's event at 1.62 meters. Junior
Rey Claro finished fourth overall in the men's pole vault with a height of 3.35 meters.
Perez-Fry was victorious in the women's long jump at 5.47 meters followed by Novak finishing second at 5.18 meters and Passley-Harris tallying a third place finish at 5.08 meters.
Dennis took home the champion title in the women's triple jump with a distance of 11.49 meters while Eu was seventh with a distance of 9.57 meters.
Freshman
Abbe Colgan recorded a fourth place finish in the women's discus at 27.68 meters followed by senior
Emily Tincher in fifth at 27.00 meters. Bergman registered a mark of 17.34 meters for the Brewers in the men's event.
Rookie
Lila Miller was sixth in the women's javelin with a mark of 24.91 meters along with Kops finishing 10th at 22.62 meters. Sophomore
Michael Came was seventh in the men's javelin with a distance of 42.64 meters along with sophomore
Jeremy Frank scoring a 10th place finish at 38.38 meters.
In the women's shot put, Tincher was third overall with a mark of 9.71 meters and sophomore Soliel Yuong finished ninth at 8.61 meters. Freshman
Justin White turned in a third place finish at 12.08 meters to lead the Brewers in the men's event.
The Brewers will head to the Silfen Invite at Connecticut College on Friday, April 14th and Saturday April 15th.
