Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY - Skidmore scored nine goals in the second half as the Thoroughbreds earned a 13-10 Liberty League victory over the Vassar College Men's Lacrosse team on Saturday afternoon. The Brewers move to 7-5 overall and 0-3 in conference action while the Thoroughbreds improve to 6-3 overall and 1-1 in Liberty League play.
Charlie Murphy tallied the first goal of the game on an assist from Andrew Meindl before freshman Hayden Stolzfoos scored for Vassar on an assist from classmate

Troy Santise put the Brewers ahead 2-1 on a feed from senior
Riley Olds. Will Fekete knotted the contest up at two at the 10:36 mark until freshman
Nate Johnson tallied a man-up goal from Santise and then junior
Dan Negron closed the quarter with a tally to take a 4-2 lead after one.
The Thoroughbreds got within one on a goal from Jon Bouvier with 11:12 remaining before Negron scored his second of the game to regain the two goal advantage. Jimmy Gibbons brought Skidmore within one at the 8:36 mark as Vassar held a 5-4 lead at the half.
Senior
Ryan Metz put the Brewers on the board in the second half with his sixth goal of the season at the 12:24 mark. The Thoroughbreds scored five straight goals to close the third quarter as Caleb Lawson scored twice along with Charlie McFadden, Fekete and David Koffler each tallying a goal to take a 9-6 lead.
Vassar cut the lead to two on a tally from Olds on an assist from junior
Solomon Hess before Gibbons and Bouvier each found the back of the net to make it 11-7 at the 4:54 mark. Olds tallied his second goal of the game on an assist from junior
Thomas Cameron but the Thoroughbreds pushed the lead back to four on a McFadden goal with 4:41 to go. Olds scored two more goals for Vassar in the final three minutes but a McFadden tally with 25 seconds left gave Skidmore a 13-10 victory.
Olds finished with four gaols and one assist while picking up three ground balls. Nergron scored two goals along with four other Brewers who recorded a goal. Junior
Jack Palmer and Hess each tallied five ground balls and one caused turnovers. Junior
Ian Zumpano recorded two caused turnovers and two ground balls. Senior
Jack Bagin took the loss in net as he made 16 saves for Vassar.
McFadden and Bouvier each tallied four points while Bouvier picked up five ground balls. Lawson finished with three points and three ground balls while Matthew McFadden registered four caused turnovers. Ryan Flynn recorded two caused turnovers along with Jack Fitzpatrick adding five ground balls. Collin Kuester earned the win in goal as he made 22 saves and picked up five ground balls.
The Brewers will head to Ithaca on Saturday, April 8th for a 2:00 p.m. contest with the Bombers.
