POUGHKEEPSIE, NY (March 27, 2018) – The Vassar College men's volleyball team will look to keep its win streak alive on the road this weekend, traveling to Elmira, NY to finish United Volleyball Conference (UVC) action against host Elmira College and Bard College.

Last Time Out: Vassar earned a pair of UVC wins this past weekend, knocking off No. 5 New Paltz in five sets before earning a three-set win over The Sage Colleges Sunday. VC had to rally from down two games in Saturday's defeat of New Paltz, but had little problems on Sunday to move to 6-1 in conference play.
A Look At The Brewers (16-6, 6-1 UVC):
- The Brewers have won their last seven matches, and could finish the season with a 13-match winning stretch if they win out.
- Senior Matthew Knigge moved into No. 5 on the all-time kills list Sunday against Sage, surpassing Dave Paine '02 and John Chasey '96 to sit with 1,206 kills.
- When the Brewers post 10 or more blocks in a match, they are 12-1 this year, the only loss coming in the season-opening loss to Wells College.
- Vassar has gone 8-2 in matches that were decided in four games.
- The Brewers have posted three win streaks this season of four matches or more.
- VC is currently ranked No. 4 in hitting percentage in the conference with a .255 attacking rate. On the other hand, VC is holding teams to a UVC-best .130 attacking.
- Zechariah Lee is ranked No. 2 in the conference in assists per set with 9.94, and is third in aces per game with 0.51.
A Look At The Golden Eagles (19-7, 5-2 UVC):
- Elmira College has enjoyed a strong season, being ranked for the majority of the campaign while winning 19 matches.
- Elmira's offense is averaging 11.70 kills per set, which ranks No. 5 in the UVC.
- Matthew Buffum is ranked No. 4 in the UVC in hitting percentage with a .413 rate, powering down 252 kills on 484 swings.
- Setter Jeremy Best is third in the conference in assists per set with 9.91.
- Buffum leads the UVC in total blocks with 114, while his 23 solo rejections are also a league-high.
- Ryan McDonough has a team-best 268 kills on the season, adding 1.57 digs per set and a team-best 44 service aces.
- Dan Symer and Jose Malave also each have 207 kills for the Golden Eagles, who spread the ball around well.
- Vassar is 4-3 all-time against the Golden Eagles, winning the last two match-ups between the two teams. Last year, Vassar topped Elmira in three sets.

- Tristan Kozul is averaging 2.76 digs per game, which ranks first on the squad and fourth in the UVC.
- Vassar is 18-0 all-time with the Raptors, and has lost only one set all-time with Bard.
Up Next: Vassar will host three teams the weekend of Friday-Saturday, April 6-7. VC starts the weekend with a 7 p.m. Friday evening match against Messiah, and then celebrates Senior Day April 7 against Baruch College and Eastern Mennonite Saturday April 7.
