Last Time Out: Despite a valiant effort, the Brewers fell to Western Connecticut in the remaining 90 seconds of the first overtime period. During regulation, both teams kept the keepers busy with 38 total shots between the squads. Freshmen keeper
Fiona Walsh finished the game with a career 12 saves. The Colonials took a late 83' minute lead but the Brewers responded rapidly, equalizing with a finish by junior Dhalia Chroscinski less than a minute later. She nearly found the net once more before the end of the second half however Colonial keeper Fernandez denied her.
A Look At The Brewers (0-2-1)
- Freshmen Fiona Walsh looks strong between the pipes, setting a career record and maintaining a save percentage of just under 0.8 following Wednesday's game.
- Walsh's mid-week performance also earned her the number two spot on the Liberty League leaderboard for saves per game
- Chroscinski joins Freshmen Ashley Ferry in the offensive leaderboard for the Brewers, with both tallying a goal and an assist early in the season.
- Although not finding the back of the net, Junior Audrey Pillsbury remains a threat up top for the Brewers, leading the team with nine total shots.
- With her first assist of the season, defender Carolina Alvarez illustrates her duality as a player. The Brewers will look to utilize her capabilities on both sides of the field throughout this season.
- Playing all 298 minutes of this season, juniors Sarah Seper and Emma Lavelle have been the core of the midfield and defensive lines respectively.
A Look At The Knights (1-0-1)
- Mt. St. Mary will bring momentum to the tournament this weekend after coming off a 3-2 overtime victory against the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
- Three knights lead the offensive line with O'Sullivan, Fennessey, and Cavalo each finding the net once this season
- Collectively, the team currently ranks 3rd in the Skyline Conference for goals scored and 4th in assists
- McKeever remains another danger around the box, tallying an assist and is the team's shot leader with four total shots
- Keeper Mary looks strong in goal, earning one shutout while making 9 saves over 179 minutes of game time.
- Currently, the Knights are second in the league in fewest goals allowed this season, with a goal against average of 0.873
A Look At The Soaring Eagles (0-2)
- Elmira has had a tough time this season, falling by a margin of three goals in both their losses.
- Rousselle, Hanson and Kazerouni lead the offensive line for the Soaring eagles, with all finding the back of the net once. Rousselle and Kazerouni have had an assist a piece while Hanson has helped two goals this season.
- Grampp has been heavily tested in the last two games, making 28 saves in 180 minutes.
- Despite placing at the bottom in the league's standings for goals allowed per game, Grampp's saving prowess places her 12 stops above the next challenger in total saves.
- The Soaring Eagles have had their fair share of the referee's attention this season, earning 18 fouls and one yellow card in two games
- Elmira currently ranks fourth in the Empire 8 in goals, assists, and points per game.
