Sophie Nick dominated the post on Tuesday, scoring 21 points and leading the Brewers to a 75-63 win over SUNY New Paltz. Rallying behind her, the Brewer offense was crisp, shooting 62.5 percent from the field. Senior

Maeve Sussman dropped another nine. The win marks the Brewer's second straight victory and, with it, a boost of confidence as they head into the start of the conference season.
A Look at the Brewers (4-1):
- Vassar ranks 4th in shots from the floor (.418), while holding opponents to .358.
- Senior Ariella Rosenthal continues to lead the Brewer offense, scoring 67 points over five games for an average of 13.4 ppg, the 8th best in the league.
- Sophomores Sophie Nick and Isa Peczuh are second and third on the team, averaging 10.0 and 7.0 points per game, respectively.
- Rosenthal also is second in the league in total field goals made (30) and ranks 76th nationally in the category
- Sophomore Sophie Nick currently holds the second highest free-throw percentage in the league (.909) and is ranked 55th nationally in the category
- Junior Julia Roellke continues to lead the team on the boards, pulling down an average of 6.6 rebounds in 5 games. Roellke has led the team in rebounds for the last three games and remains just outside of the top ten list in the league.
