Last Time OutFor the second year in a row, the Brewers went undefeated on their way to winning the annual Seven Sisters Championship.
Kate Christensen and doubles pairs
Hanna McGuire/
Shayna Becker and

A Look at the EngineersMIT started the season off incredibly strong, opening with a ten match win streak. This streak gave them the incredible 8-0 record in conference that is still maintained today. However, the Engineers have been sliding as of lately, losing seven of their last eight matches. The lion's share of these losses game in the ITA Division III National Indoor Championship and in Exhibition, so MIT should certainly still be considered a formidable opponent for the Brewers. The Engineers will be looking to secure a win in Poughkeepsie and try to get back on a streak like the one they posted in the fall.
Previous MeetingThe Brewers battled against the Engineers on April 18, 2015. No. 13 Massachusetts Institute of Technology swept singles and won two of three doubles matches to clinch a 8-1 head-to-head victory over No. 22 Vassar. At No. 3 doubles,
Kate Christensen and
Morgan Fitzgerald tallied the lone win for the Brewers on the day, topping Dora Tzeng and Krystal Lai, 8-6.
Common FoesOne of the Engineers' most recent losses was to Amherst College on April 9. MIT women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to the nationally ranked No. 6 Amherst. Similarly, the Brewers fell 9-0 to Amherst College on April 17. In doubles,
Kate Christensen and
Morgane Flournoy put up a good fight at three but ultimately lost 8-6.
Killin' It KateKate Christensen dominated in singles during the Seven Sisters Tournament and was named to the All-Seven Sisters Team. In the final day of the tournament,
Connie Yoo defeated Mount Holyoke's Michelle Cai,
Morgan Fitzgerald defeated Wellesley's Tristan Lorich, and Christensen defeated Ayame Yazawa of Mount Holyoke and Carina Chen of Wellesley.
