Greenwood, IN – The Vassar College Women's Tennis team had four student-athletes named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District it was announced on Tuesday.
Maddie Kirby (Davidson, NC),
Ananya Krishnan (Chesterbrook, PA),
Iris Li (Palo Alto, CA) and
Sara Lippin (Chappaqua, NY) have all been honored for their standout performances both on the court and in the classroom.
Kirby, a two-time Liberty League All-Academic selection, earns Academic All-District honors for the first time in 2026. Kirby won matches at three different positions in the spring dual meet schedule and posted a 12-4 record in 16 decisions. Playing out of the second doubles position, Kirby added 13 more victories. Covering the two semesters, Kirby totaled 29 combined wins for the Brewers.
Krishnan is a three-time selection to both the Liberty League All-Academic Team and the Academic All-District Team. Krishnan led the Brewers with a 14-4 singles record during the spring and amassed a 21-6 singles record in 27 decisions over both the fall and spring semesters. Krishnan teamed with Kirby at the second doubles position for an impressive 15-5 record in 20 contests over the season's two semesters.
Li also lands on the Academic All-Dstrict team for the third straight year and adds a third selection to the Liberty League All-Academic Team in 2026. Li was 10-6 playing out of the second singles flight during the spring and combined for 25 singles triumphs over the fall and spring semesters. Teaming with
Erin McCusker (Norton, MA) at the top doubles position, the duo went 10-9 in the spring and was named the Liberty League Doubles Team of the Week on three occasions.
Lippin who has landed on the Liberty League All-Academic team twice, is an Academic All-District selection for the first time as a junior. Lippin was 1-1 in singles play in the spring, but teamed with
Sieun Lee (Wake Forest, NC) to post an unblemished 11-0 record at third doubles. Covering the fall and spring semesters, Lippin played with four different doubles partners and amassed an impressive 19-0 record.
Vassar concluded the 2025-26 season with a 14-6 overall record and posted an 8-0 conference mark on its way to advancing to the Liberty League Championship Final for the ninth straight season.
