Gilbert, AZ – The Vassar College Women's Tennis team has been named an Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team for posting a team grade point average of 3.2 or better with the entire nine-player roster earning ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for achieving a grade point average of 3.5 or better.
Vassar is one of 177 Division III Women's Tennis team honored with All-Academic accolades with the ITA also honoring 1,309 Division III women's tennis student-athletes as Scholar-Athletes for the 2025-26 academic year.
Senior
Erin McCusker (Norton, MA) earns Scholar-Athlete honors after being named First Team All-Liberty League in singles play for the fouth straight year while adding a Second Team nod in doubles play. McCusker, a member of the 2026 Liberty League All-Academic Team, posted 25 total wins over the academic year as a senior, scoring 13 singles wins and 12 more doubles triumphs. McCusker won her last eight singles decisions of the spring and was named the league's Singles Performer of the Week twice.
Iris Li (Palo Alto, CA) concluded a strong senior season with Second Team All-Liberty League honors in both singles and doubles play in 2025-26. Li posted a 15-9 singles record over the course of the season's two semester and joined McCusker for 12 wins at the top doubles flight. Li, who landed on the Liberty League All-Academic Team and was a College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection, won her final seen singles decisions of the spring for the Brewers and joined McCusker for three Liberty League Doubles Team of the Week honors.
Fellow senior
Ananya Krishnan (Chesterbrook, PA) had a standout season for the Brewers in 2025-26 and was named Second Team All-Liberty League in both singles and doubles play. Krishnan was 21-6 in 27 decisions over the fall and the spring, including a 14-4 mark during the spring campaign. Krishnan, a Liberty League All Academic Team and Academic All-District selection, added 16 more wins in doubles play as a senior for the Brewers.
Maddie Kirby (Davidson, NC) joined Krishnan in doubles play and earned a Second Team All-Liberty League citation for the Brewers. Kirby posted 14 wins in singles play over the course of the academic year and added 15 doubles wins, including a 13-4 mark teamed with Krishnan during the spring. Kirby was named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team and tabbed an Academic All-District selection.
Sieun Lee (Wake Forest, NC) earned a Second Team All-Liberty League honor in singles play as a sophomore after posting a 10-2 record in the spring and a 17-3 record overall covering both semesters in 2025-26. Lee added 14 more doubles wins for the Brewers, including a perfect 11-0 record during the spring. Lee was named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team and earned one Liberty League Singles Performer of the Week award.
Sara Lippin (Chappaqua, NY) teamed with Lee for a perfect 11-0 record in doubles play during the spring and posted an unblemished 19-0 record overall on the season playing with four different partners. Lippin chipped in seven singles wins on the season and was named to the Liberty League All-Academic Team and Academic All-District.
Esme Nix (Altadena, CA) posted an impressive 7-1 record in eight singles decisions as a junior, including four wins in five spring decisions. Nix landed on the Liberty League All-Academic Team following her junior campaign.
Sophomore
Liya Pomfret (Berkeley, CA) entered the lineup as a sophomore in 2025-26 and produced an impressive 18-9 singles record to go along with three other doubles wins. During the spring Pomfret posted a 12-7 record for the Brewers and added a selection to the Liberty League All-Academic Team.
First Year
Gwendolyn Gray (Montauk, NY) won nine singles matches as a rookie in 2025-26 and chipped in six more doubles wins for the Brewers. During the spring, Gray scored a 5-2 singles record, won each of her last two decisions and was honored with one Liberty League Rookie of the Week award.
Vassar closed the 2025-26 season with a 14-6 overall record and a perfect 8-0 mark against Liberty league rivals.
