What To Look For
The Brewers have won four of the past six games and will be looking to get back on track after falling 72-69 to the Skidmore Thoroughbreds on Saturday. Freshman Nicole Teta (Maspeth, NY/Archbishop Molloy) dazzled in the hard-fought contest, totaling team highs in points (22), rebounds (five) and steals (three). Vassar fought until the very end in a game that had 10 ties and five lead changes. The game was deadlocked at 53 to start the fourth quarter. Only eight field goals were made in the fourth, as the Thoroughbreds outscored the Brewers, 19-16, in the period. The Bard Raptors will also be looking to get back in the win column, having lost every game since Dec. 12.

A Look At The Bard Raptors (5-18, 0-14 Liberty League)
The Raptors have dropped the past 14 games, most recently falling 49-40 to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute on Feb. 9. Bianka Bell led the Raptors with 17 points; Tytravia Riley added nine points and 19 rebounds, and Alexis Akingbade chipped in with eight points and 15 rebounds. Bard's final rebounding edge was 49-40, but the Engineers scored 21 points off the Raptors' 23 turnovers.

Riley and Bell rank third and fourth in conference scoring with 16.8 and 16.6 points per game, respectively. Bell averages a League-leading 37.9 minutes per game. Bard ranks last in the Liberty League in scoring (50.4 points per game), field-goal percentage (30.6), three-point percentage (22.6), three-pointers made (2.3 per contest), assists per game (6.3), assist-to-turnover ratio (.32) and blocks per game (1.7). However, the Raptors are second in the conference with 42.6 rebounds per game and first with 17 offensive rebounds per contest. Riley leads the conference with 15.5 rebounds per game, while Akingbade is fifth with 9.3. Riley is also second in the conference with 2.7 assists per game.

Against Bard All-Time
Vassar is undefeated, 13-0, against Bard all-time, dating back to their first meeting in 1996. The Brewers bested the Raptors, 60-40 on Jan. 6, 2015 and then swept the series with a 58-42 win Feb. 18.

Second-Half Surplus
The Brewers have been effective coming out of intermission, as they have either met or outscored their opponents in the second half in seven of their past eight games.

Line 'Em Up
Vassar has been consistent from the foul line, making 70.1 percent of its shots, behind St. Lawrence (72.0) and Union (71.3). The Brewers' opponents have also shot well from the line, hitting 70.1 percent, which is good for first in the League.

Take Care
The Brewers have taken great care of the ball, having the third-best assist-to-turnover ratio in the conference at .92. Only St. Lawrence (1.07) and RIT (1.00) are ahead of them.

Sharing Is Caring
The Brewers have been generous with the ball, averaging 14.87 assists per contest, only behind St. Lawrence (16.61) and RIT (15.22).

Stuffed
Vassar has shown excellent anticipation, as it leads the conference with 4.48 blocks per game. The next-leading team is RPI, which averages 3.83 blocks per contest.

Outstanding Sophomore
Ariella Rosenthal (Mill Valley, CA/Redwood) has been exceptional in her second season with the Brewers. The guard shoots a third-best 42.9 percent from the floor to rank sixth in the conference with 16 points per game.

Terrific Teta
Nicole Teta has dazzled in the past eight games to average 13.38 points in that span for the Brewers. Prior to this eight-game stretch, the freshman had scored in double figures twice. In the first of those six games on Jan. 26 against Bard, Teta poured in a game- and career-high 23 points with four triples in 22 minutes off the bench. Most recently, she scored one-shy of her career-high with 22 points against Skidmore on Feb. 14. Teta is fifth in the conference with 1.7 threes per game.

Anchor
Rose Serafini (Milton, ON, Can/Milton District) has been holding down the Brewers defensively. The senior ranks first in the Liberty League with 3.2 blocks and eighth with 7.4 rebounds per game. The next leading shot blocker is RPI's Shaina Iton, who averages 1.8 per contest.

Shot Swatter
Rose Serafini recently made school history Jan. 30 during Vassar's victory over St. Lawrence. The senior became the Vassar College women's basketball team's all-time shot block leader, as her third swat of the day gave her 168 for her career. That eclipsed the 167 that Emily Haueser tallied in her career.

Need A Hand?
Vassar has dished out as many or more assists than its opponents in nine of its past 10 games. In those nine games, the Brewers out-assisted their opponents by a margin of 143-97.

Turnaround In Turnovers
The Brewers have given the ball away 10 times less than their opponents over the past four games. Prior to that, the Brewers had committed more turnovers than opponents in three of four games.

So Close
The Brewers have kept many competitions close this season, losing 12 games by seven points or less.

Scoring 70
Vassar has won all three times it has scored at least 70 points, most recently beating St. Lawrence, 76-60, on Jan. 30.

Up Next
The Vassar women's basketball team will be in Troy, NY for its final game of the regular season. The Brewers will be looking to sweep the series, 2-0, against Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute after beating the Engineers, 72-58, on Jan. 12. Game time is set for 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 21.
