What to Look For:
Vassar will play its final doubleheader of the year this weekend, before wrapping up the season next week with two slates against Bard College and RPI.

Last Time Out:
Five different Saints finished in double figures, led by 18 from sophomore Kyle Edwards, as St. Lawrence earned a 78-65 victory over Vassar on February 7. SLU was hot from behind the arc in the game, hitting a season-best 13 three pointers on 22 attempts to get up on the Brewers. A day earlier, Clarkson overcame a seven-point deficit in the second half, while senior Charles McAllister tied for a game-high 18 points as the Golden Knights held off Vassar 69-62.

A Look at the Tigers (11-10, 6-6 Liberty League):
RIT is right on the bubble of the Liberty League postseason, and will need to win and get help to solidify its position as the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament. At 6-6 in Liberty League play, the Tigers currently sit behind St. Lawrence (7-7) in the fifth spot, but could possibly jump the Saints with two wins this weekend. RIT has had an up and down season in 2014-15, and has lost four out of its last five games coming into the weekend. The Tigers continue to be one of the top teams in the conference from downtown, ranking second in the league in 3PT FG made per game (7.6) while shooting 33.6% from deep. RIT has been excellent forcing mistakes from its opposition, ranking first in the Liberty League in steals per game (8.38).

Freshman AJ Horde continues to excel in his first season with the Tigers, as he was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week for the third time on Monday. He averaged 17.0 points, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals as RIT went 1-1 last weekend, and continues to lead the team in scoring averaging 13.9 points per game. The Brewers will also look to limit junior JP Reagan, who finished with a team-high 18 points the last time the teams met and is currently averaging 11.0 points per game on the season.

Last Meeting:
Four different RIT players finished in double figures, led by junior JP Reagan's 18 points, as the Tigers came out ahead of Vassar 73-63 when the teams met earlier this season on January 17. Freshman Jesse Browne (Barrington, RI/Deerfield Academy) scored a game-high 24 points for the Brewers, the most in a game by a freshman since Johnny Mrlik (San Francisco, CA/St. Ignatius College Prep) scored 32 against RPI on February 7, 2012.

A Look at the Statesmen (15-6, 10-2 Liberty League):
Hobart has all but locked up a spot in the Liberty League postseason, as the Statesmen are currently tied for the best record in conference (10-2) with Clarkson and Skidmore. Hobart will now be looking to secure home court advantage with four conference matchups remaining down the stretch of the season. Defensively, Hobart has been one of the best defensive teams in the Liberty League in 2014-15, as the Statesmen rank second overall in field goal percentage defense (.388). Hobart has been especially effective guarding the three, allowing opponents to shoot only .284 from beyond the arc, which ranks first in the conference.

Senior Connor Rehbaum has been one of the most productive players in the Liberty League this season, ranking first on the team and fourth in the league in PPG (15.6) and first on the team in RPG (6.1). Rehbaum, along with senior Andrew Hoy and sophomore Thomas Champion have been efficient in shooting the long ball for the Statesmen, as the trio have combined to hit 129 of 340 attempts from deep (.379).

Last Meeting:
A 15-0 Hobart run in the second half spanning over four minutes keyed a 65-56 win for the Statesmen over VC when the teams played earlier this year on January 16. Senior Connor Rehbaum had a game-high 27 points for Hobart, while the Statesmen finished 15-20 from the charity stripe to hold off Vassar.

Senior Recognition:
The Vassar men's basketball team will honor its five graduating seniors Andrew Adkins (Richmond, VA/Steward School), Luka Ladan (Belmont, MA/Belmont), Jonathan Safir (Buffalo, NY/Williamsville North), Curtis Smith (Mastic, NY/Eastport South Manor) and Alex Snyder (Rutland, VT/Rutland) this Saturday, when Vassar faces Hobart on senior day. The quintet played a major role in one of the greatest seasons in Vassar basketball history, when the Brewers won a program-record 19 games while advancing to the Liberty League Championship game in 2013-14.

Three Leader:
Wasyl is currently first in the Liberty League in 3PT field goals per game, averaging 2.6 per contest in 2014-15. He is also first in the league and 51st in the nation in total 3PT field goals made with 55. Waysl ranks third in the conference in 3PT field goal percentage (.372) on 55 of 148 shooting from beyond the arc.

Quest for 1000:
Senior Alex Snyder (Rutland, VT/Rutland) will look to join an elite group of Brewer basketball players to score 1000 career points in his final four games at Vassar. Snyder has totaled 970 points heading into the weekend, and would become just the 13th player in school history to hit one grand in the burgundy and gray.

Up Next:
Vassar will play its final road game of the year next Wednesday, February 18 when the team travels to face Bard College at 8:00 pm.
