What To Look For
The Brewers will travel to Rochester on Monday with the goal of accomplishing something that the program has never done, which is win on the road against the Yellowjackets. VC is 0-8 all-time against UR on the road, but the Brewers did take the Yellowjackets to overtime two years ago before falling 2-1. Rochester is 6-0 this season in Edwin Fauver Stadium, but the Brewers won their last road game and has been playing well of late.

A Look At The Yellowjackets (9-3, 1-1 Liberty League)
The University of Rochester is coming off a stinging 3-2 defeat at No. 7 William Smith on Wednesday evening, as the Herons netted a goal with less than eight minutes to play for the win. Before that contest, Rochester was riding a four-game win streak where it outscored opposition 15-1. Rochester is averaging 2.83 goals per game, while allowing a league-low 0.75 goals per game. UR is one of only two teams in the Liberty League, along with Vassar, to average under a goal per game allowed. Rochester also has done well to earn penalty corners, earning 12.42 per game, which leads the conference. UR is earning votes in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll, sitting at No. 22 in the 20-team listing.

Individually, the star for the Yellowjackets is senior goalkeeper Tara Lamberti. The reigning Liberty League Defensive Player of the Year has once again sparkled in cage this season, allowing just 0.78 goals per game while ranking ninth nationally in save percentage with a 0.857 clip. On the offensive side of the ball, Michelle Relin leads the conference in shots per game with 8.92. Relin also is fifth in the Liberty League in goals with nine, leading the team in assists with seven on the year. Teammate Nicole Cerza has also scored seven times this year for the Yellowjackets, while Olivia Denny has added 10 points on four goals and two assists.

Against Rochester All-Time
The Yellowjackets hold a 14-3 all-time mark against the Brewers, but VC won last year's battle in Poughkeepsie 2-1. In that contest, then-senior Enya Cunningham scored a game-winner on a stroke with less than two minutes to play.

Protect This House
The Brewers have now won 15 home games in a row, which is the second-longest home win streak in Division III behind the 30-game mark from The College of New Jersey. In all levels of the NCAA, VC sits third as Division II Limestone College has a 19-game run.

Tough Shu
Junior Lauren Shumate (Encinitas, CA/San Dieguito Academy) was named as the National Defensive Player of the Week by Synapse Sports Thursday afternoon.

Tests Coming Up
The Brewers will finish the season with the third-hardest schedule in NCAA Division III, as future opposition have a winning percentage of .723. Only Union College and Tufts University have harder roads ahead.

Home Turf Advantage
This season, Liberty League teams as a whole have gone 34-4 on their home turf, a winning percentage of .894.

Phenomenal Freshman
Newcomer Megan Caveny (Cicero, NY/Cicero-North Syracuse) earned Liberty League Rookie of the Week for the second time this year Monday, also adding ECAC Rookie of the Week to her ledger Wednesday.

Wow Warari
The Brewers are just one win shy of posting double-digit wins for the third consecutive season, the tenure of third-year head coach Michael Warari. In the history of Vassar College field hockey, VC had won 10 or more games just once before his arrival.

Spread The Love
Vassar College comes into the week with nine players with multiple goals on the season, which leads the conference for the most players with two or more goals scored.

Next Up
Vassar will head to No. 10 Skidmore College October 17 at 2 p.m. for a big Liberty League contest.
